Good book on virological methods
As a retired virologist, any book that summarizes the state of clinical virology is welcome. This book does that, but I always thought the title was misleading. While there is discussion regarding the clinical aspects for treating most of the common virology, this book is not really about that. This book is more geared towards the methods used to identify diseases (like in a lab) rather than what antivirals to use in treating the same.Given that, it's still a good book and I would recommend it for what it is. Keep in mind that this was written in 2016, and things in virology change rapidly. Hence, this book is a great starting point, but I would definitely review current literature to see if better and more recent advances exist.
