My Android unit needed one of these and someone used the factory Ford one to plug into it so only one unit could work at a time. Bought this so I had both connected, worked great right away. Zero issues for the last couple months.

I had got my radio from a pull a part. And it was locked but I bought this and installed it as soon as I got it finally got my radio unlocked to use this. It works amazing! It knows exact location! If your oem one is causing you issues get this this is perfect for either new radio replacement or oem style is not working properly!

I have used these for many Sync 3 conversions and they work correctly. I have had one DOA and they really just are low build quality. I keep using them because they're cheap and they do work.

I installed this under the center dash speaker in my 2016 Explorer when I upgraded from SYNC 2 to SYNC 3. Bought the SYNC 3 module from a small Michigan based company, they pulled it from a 2017 Ford Edge, it was compatible with my vehicle, they pre-programmed with my VIN. I wanted Navigation, so it required a separate GPS to plug into the computer. This installed well, be careful removing any trim if you are using it for this application. I would buy this again if I was doing any other module upgrades in future vehicles.

If your navigation system in your W220 S500 Mercedes Benz has no satellites and you cannot set the time, then you need one of these. Simply unplug the factory GPS antenna connection from the rear of the navigation DVD (located in the left side of the trunk) and plug this GPS antenna into it, and place the magnetic antenna on the trunk lid, where it meets the rear window, and everything will work - the GPS satellites will begin to show up on the lower portion of the navigation screen, and the clock will also automatically adjust itself to the correct time, as it uses the GPS satellites to maintain their accuracy. You can use this in place of the original factory GPS antenna, but it’s no simple task to remove the antenna and it’s wiring - it’s just as simple to plug this into the rear of the navigation DVD player and your all set!

Regardless of what people say about this unit, it does not work correctly with sync 3 upgrades. It will throw a navigation fault error and work intermittently. The Nav-Upgrade site copies this picture and they link this unit as the correct unit around the web. But sell you another one for a rip off price that does work.
