Screen Replacement for iPhone X 5.8', 3D Touch Display Full Repair kit, Digitizer Assembly with Tools Set, Tempered Glass, Instruction

This is the third screen I’ve purchased for my daughter‘s iPhone 8. The first one did not fit right. The second one literally cracked and stopped working within 48 hours. Neither of those came in the instructions and they came with crappy tools that cost some of the screws to be stripped. As soon as I opened this box I knew it was different. The tools were of much better quality and bigger it actually came with a step-by-step instruction booklet and a tempered glass screen protector. Super impressed with this one and praying that it works for quite some time! Easy to install and worked with no issues when I turned it on.

First item arrived open box (I blame Amazon for this) -- returned since I had no idea if anything is missing. Second one was sealed, includes all the tools. I recommend using a piece of packing tape sticky side up to hold the tiny screws. Do work on a large table and ideally on a wood or tile floor; I dropped a screw and only found it because I swept the floor with my hands. It would have been gone forever in a carpet.I thought I had placed the water seal correctly, but totally flubbed it. Ordering replacements. I recommend grabbing some extras since this step seems very tricky.Everything works great, Face ID is intact. No True Tone, but that's expected and there are some hacks to enable it apparently. Can't really tell a difference from the old one without another XR but seems bright and vibrant to me next to another newer iPhone.As noted by others and in the instructions, if you have never replaced a phone screen before, watch a video and be super patient. The cables are very frail and small. I once destroyed an iPhone 5S during a repair like this by ripping the cables.

OK, I decided to be the guinea pig here and give it a shot, it was the cheapest screen available and I just needed a screen to get the phone to turn on one time so I could back it up and save all my photos/documents from the last 8 months (back up your phone today!)It comes with the screen, and surprisingly a tool kit too, but I had my own tool kit so I used that. It also comes with a new sticky gasket for around the screen, but it is clearly of a lower quality/stickiness than the original apple one and I have 100% confidence this phone is NOT waterproof with this new gasket.A few other weird things: is it gives detailed instructions on how to remove the screen but does not include instructions on how to reinstall it - it just says basically, reverse the steps - but it doesn't mention replacing the gasket or when to do so (before you put the wires back in.) Also, the screen is slightly "thicker" than the old screen (my wife has the same phone to compare too), maybe a fraction of a millimeter, but it definitely sticks out from the side further, and the phone is slightly thicker now. Finally, when i put it in, one of the little metal tabs bent out, and i had to take the screen back off, degrading the gasket somewhat, and use one of the tools to bend it back in. I took the old (original) screen off and on several times and had no issue like this.I think it probably doesn't look as good as the original LED screen or whatever, but I paid way way way less and it works for at least one day, and that's what I needed, I can't trust this phone with a weak gasket, time to replace.Also, I have never used any replacement screen ever before so I have no basis for comparison as to the quality of them - I've only had apple screens before, but like I said, I needed this phone to start for one day only at the cheapest price, and it did.

needed same day shipping(product was delivered within 6 hours of purchase! NO BS) and the only color for that shipping rate was white. it looks little odd on my black 8 but its "different". I cant tell its a replacement! ICRACKED iPhone YouTube videos are great! YOU MUST USE HEAT WHEREEVER OEM ADHESIVE IS PLACED!!!!!!<<< you WILL break all or parts of the device for sure! The oem adhesive is such extreme quality that when properly or shoot even half way heated it can be SLOWLY pulled off and returned to its original place after repair! Another key point is the tool set are Extremely cheap but def works and can complete a FEW repair kits before the tool heads strip(very soft metal). Lastly the glass adhesive is great, it has color coded ends just like oem and easy to apply WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR TIME. I def recommend videos over the included manual and I choose a bong over a beer for this one but that's clearly my opinion. GOOD LUCK!

I picked this specific screen because it was "Amazon's Choice". It was fine for the first week, and I've been taking care of my phone, keeping it from falling, and away from water. On my night out recently, it suddenly stopped working. The screen stopped responding, and it doesn't even turn on half the time when I press my power button. I've never had this problem before, and now I don't have a phone, or access to my bank account in order to transfer money and buy a new phone/screen replacement. My only resolution is to literally disassemble the screen from my phone, go return the package, and WAIT for either my money or a new screen to be sent. Which is extremely inconvenient and time wasting. I won't have a phone for a week. This isn't to sound like a phone addict either, but everything is on it.

3rd time ordering everything comes and works very well! Will purchase again. Easy to use and the tools were helpful and great quality.

I have done many of these screen replacements having young kids. This replacement is perfect. Best I have seen. Everything lines up well, all the screw holes, and all the ribbons line up and snap in easily. The tools worked as they should. Nicely packaged and shipped right away. As some others have said, perhaps the colors aren't as vibrant as the original screen, but for the price, you can't beat this value. Hardly noticeable. And they also give you a screen protector with it! Thanks DIY!
