The A to Z of John Candy: An Illustrated Guide

Author extraordinaire Tracey Morgan has done it again! :-)"The A to Z of John Candy" is a wonderful, wonderful book. I would describe it as sort of a companion to Ms. Morgan's previous book about this talented, generous and sweet soul who left this world much too soon. The concept of "A to Z" about a person makes this book unique and refreshing. And although it's relatively small, the book is packed with information and trivia about John. Some of the information isn't included in that previous book I mentioned, also written by Ms. Morgan: "Searching for Candy". (Hint-hint: Get both books!)This is a book that many people should be able to read in one sitting -- although there is so much interesting material in it, this reader felt as though he had been absorbed in a much lengthier volume of work after he made it to the end. Out of fear of spoiling anything for anyone, I won't mention the names of people in the book who had a connection with John, nor titles of the plethora of movies and television shows that the man appeared in -- but trust me, the list is amazingly extensive.The illustrations by Gary McGarvey are very well done and are a nice complement to the written material.But what really shines through "The A to Z..." in addition to all of the above, most of all, is the enthusiasm and love that the author has poured into her written words. This book is filled with heart and soul. It is clear that Tracey Morgan is more than "just a fan" of the late tender hearted man. Her loving and frequently humorous tribute to John Candy is not to be missed.If you buy Tracey Morgan's books, you will be most fortunate to have the most complete, factual and emotionally stirring (is that even a real phrase?) accolades of the life of this legendary, larger than life personality.Wherever John is now, I can envision him with both of Ms. Morgan's books by his side, cleverly thinking of a way to unselfishly shower her with his appreciation.

This book was absolutely adorable and informative! My only complaint? That one of John’s most underrated hilarious comedic performances in Splash wasn’t listed under the letter S. Other than that, I definitely recommend this little book.

Tracey does another fabulous job! Any John Candy fan needs this for their bookshelf. The perfect gift!

Very enjoyable tribute to John Candy!

I love this book. Great in addition to Searching for Candy or on its own. The illustrations are fantastic. The spirit of John lives on in his fans. Much love to Tracey for keeping his spirit alive.

I purchased this book for my wife, who is a huge John Candy fan. She absolutely loves it and has even learnt a few extra facts that she wasn't aware of! The illustrations are fantastic and really add a lot to what is already a really fun book. A must-buy for any fans of John Candy.

I love this little book , from A to Z every fact and snippet keeps you turning the page and with such beautiful illustrations. I’m sure even Candy’s hardcore fans will learn something new.

A great little book with wonderful artwork, I have previously read the authors other John Candy book (Searching for Candy). This is an excellent companion piece, it would make a good Christmas stocking filler
