Not only does it have the longest battery life I have had for a toy (and with a 5 year old boy, I have had a lot of battery operated toys) but the remote controller is small enough and easy enough for my 5 year old to enjoy hands on participation, unlike a lot of other similar toys that are made too big for little hands.The boat comes with 2 batteries, which is awesome since you can swap them out when needed for continuous play time!The boat responds instantly to the remote with no delay so the boat is able to make a split-second turn with no problem at all.My son and I loved the bonus spray we received when he steered the boat close to us. It was an awesome way to cool off!My son and I took turns controlling the boat and laughed the whole time. It was so much fun. The first battery lasted almost 26 minutes and we did not outlast the second battery but after about 25 minutes the second battery was still going strong.The boat arrived a day later than expected but it was the UPS that caused the delay. When I received the package, I was worried that the boat may be damaged because the shipping box looked like it had been used as a football since it was squished and one flap was missing. To my surprise the RC Boat was unharmed and showed no signs of mistreatment. It is well packaged to withstand significant abuse and still protected the contents.After removing the contents from its packaging, I found the boat to be impressively designed and made. While the boat is light, obviously to float and facilitate speed, its plastic body is sturdy and held up through a series of crashes while my son and I learned how to control it. The area where the battery is on the boat has a waterproof seal so you do not have to worry about it getting wet.You have to provide 2 AA batteries for the remote control. The controller is made also of sturdy plastic but is light and designed small enough for little hands to hold in one hand. The control is so easy and covers any maneuver you could want to perform. The trigger does not resist when pressed and the wheel is easy to turn, too. The boat’s ability to maneuver is very impressive too. Our pool is 15 feet across so it is not a biggest area to drive a boat in, and with the exception of the first 10 minutes of experimenting and learning how to control it, both my son and myself were able to easily steer it around the pool.If I could give this product more than 5 stars I definitely would. It is well worth the money. I recommend this RC Boat to anyone.

My husband and I purchased this boat. My husband played with it on the pond in our back yard. The boat seems to go pretty good, fast enough I believe a young pre-teen or teenager would enjoy playing with it. It floats well and turns pretty good loops and corners well for such a small craft. My husband let me drive it for about 1 minute, then said ok give it back. So funny, he was smiling and I think enjoying himself. It was nice that it came with all the instructions, tools, charging cord, and 2 rechargeable batteries for the boat. The controller only needs 2 AA batteries, and if your like us, you already have some lying around the house. It goes out quite a ways, and does go pretty fast. It is pretty easy to drive too. The only negative thing my husband had to say was "its too bad it does not have reverse, but its a pretty fun toy to play with. I suggested giving this one to our grandson because I really wanted to get him one, but my husband said he will be keeping this one as his toy. So I guess even at 63 you enjoy a good toy.

The media could not be loaded.  The product arrived quickly my hubby and I being big kids were so excited to take this to our local lake and try it out. It was a success! I was impressed by the speed for sure and the steering does take a little to get used to but once you get the hang of it, it’s so much fun this is also great for kids for some summer fun.

Worked for a few minutes, then one motor stopped working so it would only go in circles. Returned it. Boat got a fair amount of water in it - not sure from where. Felt very cheap and easily breakable. Shocked at the cost for what is clearly a $10 or less boat. It never went straight, always pulled to one direction, not sure if that was intentional or not. Decent run time for a small, rechargeable battery. Decent speed for a tiny, cheaply made boat. Great for kids EXCEPT when it comes to changing out the battery - that requires an older child or an adult - difficult to open the hatch, a little difficult getting the battery in and out, and too easy to break things if not taking care during the process. Overall very pool quality and very short lifespan. At least mine died within the return time frame.

This is a great remote control boat for kids. The steering and speed controls are not proportional, but on a small model boat it didn't matter. It charges from USB, which is very convenient, and takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to charge. It comes with two batteries and the batteries last quite a while. Our grand kids played with the boats for about 40 minutes and the second battery was still going strong. The boats don't interfere with each other, so you can run several at once. We ran three boats and had races. Our grand kids are 6, 6, and 8 and had no trouble driving the boats. Much easier to control than remote control cars. Great toy!!!

RC works well, however, battery life is very short, less than 10 minutes, exchanging batteries (comes with 2) is tedious and requires removal of a small screw which WILL ultimately get lost. I recommend that this product NOT be used in a pool as that shortens battery life further. If the boat stops in mid pool, and fills with water, it must totally dry out to be used again. Because of the short battery time, my 8 year old grandson lost interest pretty quickly.

Perfect speed for a backyard pool, and one of the highest quality boats I’ve used for this demographic. The included 2 batteries is much appreciated and the run time is also excellent! Charging with USB is also very convenient and bypasses international power outlet issues. The boat’s top surface gets wet during use but this isn’t an issue as I can confirm the seal is watertight enough for this. Highly recommend for some easy, low maintenance ready-to-run outdoor fun.

Bought this for Christmas morning and cannot set it up. No instruction manual - cannot find a troubleshooter online to help fix any potential errors.Now to probably have to go through a long and drawn out returns process.So disappointed we couldn;t just open it, charge for 90 mins and get going.If anyone has any tips in the meantime, I'd appreciate it
