For it's purpose it's fantastic. But literally from inside looking out it's ok. Plastic shield is rolled up in package and it's a soft plyable plastic. So it has major wrinkles you have to look through. So there is heavy distortion like looking a clear pool inflatable. And the plastic smell is strong and smells once again like a pool inflatable. Buuuuuuut....it covers well.. down to my shirt. I can breathe better now not wearing a mask. Overall I think I deal with negative because the positive is better. And the main positive is I can actually breathe.

Overall it's fine, but I was disappointed that the face shield was floppy, so that when you walk on a windy day you have to hold the shield so it doesn't blow against your face. Also, since the plastic is not rigid, the view through it is distorted. For the price though it's a good deal, & it serves the purpose of protecting me from COVID19. I still keep my distance of course. The hat I comfortable.

The hat was really great but I was very disappointed in the plastic shield. It looks like it is flat stiff shield but in fact, is much like the plastic covering my Granny had on her furniture. It is wrinkled and distorts your line of sight. I would not buy again. I only gave 3 stars because the hat is pretty good quality.

I feel that, for the price, this is really a nice value. First of all, I love the adjustment in the back. It is not a cheap hat. And, Yes, the shield isn't stiff. But, I have a stiff ones and the costs are at least $35 each or higher. And, they aren't as comfortable for everyday use.The other thing is the size. The shield isn't perfect. But, it does the job, if you wear glass/sunglasses and put it under the bill. It overs the nose and mouth nicely. AND, it is more comfortable that way.For something under $20, it was well worth the risk of buying a few for my family/friends so that we can sing together this weekend (at a distance still, but at least we can see smiles and feel a bit more "normal" than before).I cannot compare this to my firm one . . . since the firm one I have was $45. When I bought this one, it was $13/$14 each and I could afford to buy some for my friends to use over the weekend too.So, with that said, maybe some of the comments are valid, re: their disappointments. BUT, for the price and for my use, it is perfect. If I hated the shield, I still love the hat. It is nice. I love solid hats and decorating them too.Hope this helps.

Love it. So much easier to breath and we get compliments. You can eat & drink easier. Instead of washing mask you just wipe it down with Clorox wipes.

I love this shield. I have been far too anxious doing my every-three-weeks grocery shopping with just gloves and a face mask, but buying this well-fitting hat with shield has been a game changer for me. I have shopped with a good deal less anxiety since receiving this hat/shield combination. I am able to see well out of it and haven't had the distortion/dizzy issues that others have written about in other reviews since I only have used this item for grocery shopping. I'm so glad I found and bought it. I also bought one for my brother, whose head is 22 inches, and I can't see it fitting someone with a bigger head. It fit me perfectly, but I have a 21 inch head. If the circumference of your head fits these parameters and you're looking for another layer of protection, buy this hat/shield combination!

First- this will work as a face sheild. Second- I wouldnt buy this again. I purchased this for work in an office with ventilation problems and am concerned I will not be able to see through the plastic since it cant be smoothed out and vision is distorted. I will be using this but it is only adequate. The plastic is vinyl material that acts like any swim float device. Without structure it is floppy.
