NSL Handheld Controller Housing DIY Replacement Shell Case Compatible with Nintendo Switch Lite Joy-Con Without Electronics (Set-Atomic Purple)

I recently purchased a Switch Lite as I've been looking for a lighter option than my launch Switch, but I wanted to take the opportunity to modify it a bit. I've taken apart my switch before with Basstop and ExtremeRate products, so I've had my fair share dealing with both of them. For the most part, it just works without fail and I never had issues.After working on it on and off throughout the day, I managed to complete it. Everything was screwed into place and I didn't seem to have any problems. It was until a few days after where I noticed some problems with the shell. Cracks began to form on the sides out of nowhere without any explanation. I made sure to only screw the hardware in so much to prevent the risk of cracking, but the plastic seemed to be brittle in the end. As I further inspected my switch, I had noticed that the top right side of my console's housing was warped which lead to me trying to contact someone for help.Unfortunately, when I got on the line with Amazon's online chat, it wasn't very helpful. The associate instructed me to contact the manufacturer, and I attempted to through Amazon's storefront page for their company. I expressed my concerns and problems with the unit, but I've yet to receive any advice or help.With that in mind, I figure I'd just give people a heads up. If your product works as expected, then that solves that. However, if you have to go through and try to get a warranty, you may or may not get an answer. It's safe to say that this will be the last time I buy one of their products again.Update 1/12/21 : I've tried to contact Bass for a replacement, but I've received no response. It is what it is, but I contacted Amazon Customer Support and they offered me a refund for the defect at least. I'm still a bit bummed out, but I hope that this company improves their customer support in the future as their products are great for customizing our switches.

Definitely a major undertaking as far as customizing the look and feel if your switch lite. The entire console needs to be disassembled, thermal paste cleaned and reapplied, and reassembled in the new shell. Definitely do not skip the reapplication of fresh thermal compound, and be sure to take your time when removing the screen.The included SD card and cartridge doors are horrible, and snapped before I even put them into the new shell, so just stick with the ones from your original shell. The new colored buttons are a fun novelty, but feel a little cheaper than the originals.All in all, the finished product is a unique look, and had me remembering why I purchased the lite over its full size cousin. Just don't buy this shell if you're not very good with taking apart electronics. If you're not comfortable replacing an iPhone battery, this won't be any easier.

The fitment Is terrible on my shell. It’s warped and protruded. I need a replacement of the back side of the housing as it’s horrible. I got the atomic purple shell and the overall product feels good and looks awesome! It took me roughly 3.5 hours to finish this. The packaging was good not dents and the shell quality was good, no warping.Tips: use gloves to avoid fingerprints on back shell and metal plate, you don’t need to remove the battery, have double sided tape to put the screen in the new shell, and organize screws in layers.

I love the smoke gray case. Really sets my little Switch Lite apart. Installation is a bit trickier than expected, but totally doable. There are some great videos out there that show you each step. The fit is PERFECT. I've had several people ask me where I got a smoke gray one from because it looks like it came that way stock. I have the Grey Lite, so I didn't have to use the included screen protector to make the bezel black.

Not really as pictured. Far less of a black tint than pictured. It's pretty much just clear. I've bought the purple in the past and it's pretty nice. I just wish these colored ones were frosted/matte. The quality is pretty good. Don't over tighten your screws, the screws aren't going anywhere, you're not working on a car here, they won't vibrate loose. If you over tighten them you will likely crack the plastic or find the plastic cracked within a few days.

Great she’ll to mod your console with. Just be sure to group your screws together, take photos, and have patience with it because this will take some time. The screen was not the worst to remove, but be sure to use your heat gun/hair dryer on the rims of the outer screen to avoid damaging the LCD screen. If you have some experience with taking apart things you should be fine. And if you’ve never done something like this before, definitely study up on it to prepare. Would highly recommend if you want to stand out with your console!If I could complain about one thing, it would be nice if an extra screen protector was added just in case you break the first one.

If you're able to do this successfully then the final product is worth it. The only down side is you will lose your warranty by opening your switch lite. You will need to transfer everything from the old switch lite to the new shell. They give you blue,red,yellow and green buttons to switch the old ones. You also receive a screen protector with a black outline to cover you switch color that is still attach to the display. I used a grey switch lite so i didn't need to do this. Overall this is a good product. It is very tedious project with the different size screws but watch a few tutorials to get an idea before buying this.
