Awesome boots!
Timberland like any like any other brand has become more fashion than function thanks to celebs making the boots popular. Thankfully, Timberland still makes something that is functional in the real world!! Staying true to their roots. The Timberland Pro Boondock 6" boot are amazing! The boots feature a composite safety toe, electrical hazard protection, completely waterproof, and 400 grams of insulation. I purchased the boots during the long cold harsh winter. The boots feel hefty but very solid! Upon wearing them, you can sense the anti-fatigue cushioning and the boots don't feel as heavy. From other reviews, there is a break in period (at least I hope so) because there is a slight discomfort/rubbing on the left side around rear of the ankle. I think over time the boots will feel better.I originally purchased the Timberland Pro Boondock 6" Non-insulated in a size 7.5 because a local department store was closing the priced seemed right. 7.5 was not bad, however I felt that my toes would curl or push too much against the toe cap when walking. i decided to purchase the insulated version in my normal size 8. Feels slightly larger but plenty of space now!! More room for boot socks!I have tried boots made by Wolverine, Skechers, Carharrt, etc. Some of the boots did not last long at all! While others became useless after the outsole started deteriorating. Timberland was never my first choice, because I felt they were overpriced. In hind sight, I hope the Boondock prove me wrong! The boots look great with the pebbled leather and protective toe cap and plastic lining around the ankle. I did apply SNO-SEAL to the boots to protect the leather. That is something I have been using for years.Edit:Its been a couple of weeks, winter has started! The tread on the boots is great in snowy conditions, wore the boots while snow blowing the drive way. The insulation keeps your feet cozy, even with thinner socks. The rubbing went away and the boots are comfortable.I went for a winter hike on a sunny but very cold day. The boots kept my feet warm! However, i ended up slipping in a creek and the boots got soaked! I had two pairs of socks on, while I could feel water sloshing around, my feet did not freeze and stayed comfortable. The hike was only a mile but I have to believe that the insulation really helped.

Great work boot
Great work boot. Extremely comfortable, very little break in time, and fits great. Insulation is not to heavy wear its uncomfortable in the summer but is enough for winter with a good quality sock. Toe guard is a great feature, has no wear at all. I have had 2 pairs; the first pair lasted 1 year before the leather broke down and let water through. I wore these everyday and they were used in winter slush/salt conditions. I like to believe the leather would have held up better if it was not for the salt. The 2nd pair has not seen salt/slush and still look fantastic. I work an average of 50 hours a week and during 2 months a year its about 75 hours. These boots are comfortable from sun up to sun down, in fact, they are worn more than any other shoe I have even outside of work. Currently, I am experimenting with the older boots using a product called Sno-Seal wax. You heat the boot up and then apply the wax onto the leather. The leather became softer than it was before the wax and repels water well. will have to see in the coming months how well it holds up. Overall, these boots are great and will look to buy Timberland Pro again, just hope it's not anytime soon.

Very comfortable!
I work in maintenance and have to walk around all day. I've worn Bates enforces, other timberlands I can't remember which ones, and some other brands, but these are great for my feet. The anti fatigue feature helped me out a lot. I also do special events where I'll be on my feet anywhere from 8-16 hours. Would buy these specific boots again!

Solid work boot
There are two reasons that I am giving this 4/5 instead of 5/5. One is that I have only had them for about a week. I can't be too generous this soon. The second is that one of the seams near the bottom of the laces has started to come loose. While it may not be anything to be concerned about, it's a bit too soon for something like that to be happening. However, all of that aside, I am impressed with the feel and look of these boots. I like the way they fit. I like the way that it just looks and feels like I spent a good chunk of change on them because I did. I used to just go buy cheap Wal-Mart boots for about $35. They would last about 8 months and then I would repeat the process. I finally got tired of doing that and decided to spend a bit more and hope that I would get what I pay for, so to speak. So far, I haven't been disappointed. It has only been about a week, though. I will edit this after I've had them awhile longer, adding or subtracting stars at that time.

They never fail!
I have had several pairs of these over the years and recently decided to switch it up and get a few other pairs… those pairs just didn’t cut it so I came back to the Boondocks. If you like narrow profile boots these aren’t for you. They are chunky and wide but soooooo comfortable. They have made some changes over the years but I don’t think anything for the worst.

Very comfortable but soles wear quickly
Really great boot. Most comfortable boots I have owned. Sadly had them for less than 8months and the soles have already worn, my last pair lasted 3 years. The soles I think are just not tough enough to last on rail ballast. But they are also the most comfortable things to walk on ballast with especially when you walk upwards of 20km in them. So a bit of catch 22

Great fit and comfortable
NOTE: NO GREEN CSA TRIANGLE. If you are buying these they won't pass a boot inspection for certain companies, usually only the large companies do this.Great fit, durable and comfortable. I will be buying these again. I used to buy red wings every 2 years and these are comparable so far for about half the price. I didn't have to break them in, comfortable from day one
