Smallfoot [Blu-ray 3D]

The movie itself was not bad and the music was surprisingly excellent actually bu the 3D was a waste.....one of those movies that was probably converted 2D.......no special 3D stuff at all....very disappointing....trying to build a good 3D library....this one will definitely not be in it.

Smallfoot is about a society of Yetis who lives a rather primitive life at the top of the Himalayas since they are isolated from the rest of the world. They are bullied and threatened never to question things when their common sense kicks in. Such as they are taught their world sits on the back of giant mammoths that they can't see because they are under the clouds. No one is allowed to ask what is holding the mammoths up, in a simialr way religious extremists don't like anyone asking well what made God if humans and other creatures are so complex God had to have made them. One day Migo, the teenage son (Channing Tatum) of the yeti (Danny DeVito) who gets catapulted into a giant gong headfirst to wake up the daylight, is flung of course while training to take over as the future gong head butter. He is almost killed by a crashing plane, and encounters the pilot (which to him looks like a mythical creature known as Smallfoot) before the wind carries the pilot's parachute off the mountain. He of course wants to tell everyone of his experience but of course the town leader shuts him down, but Migo is having none of it, even with his father pleading with him to shut up. Migo is temporarily expelled from the village but will be let back in when he apologies to the community and admits he was confused and wrong. But Migo and some other teenager yetis who believe him help Migo to go beneath the clouds to get evidence of the smallfoot's existence. Of course the real world is nothing like the empty void he was lied to about, nor are there any giant mammoths. What is there though is a Steve Irwin type wildlife show presenter, who no one watches his shows anymore. He wants to invent danger and excitement into his shows. He plans on faking a yeti encounter after interviewing the pilot, but he's about to find out he doesn't need to.Smallfoot has some interesting and entertaining scenes but overall I found to be a bit average. To me if something is going to be set in the real world, you'd got to be a bit more convincing in explaining how its possible. Surely people in planes, helicopters, satellite imagery and even humans who just want to climb every mountain would have come across the yeti village. If they has some sort of camouflaged roof and guards who knew Smallfoots were real who killed or maybe just captured and put to work inside the mountain humans who got to the top of that peak. Slight spoiler - the stone wearer also claimed in his propaganda speech of why humans are bad that humans with guns chased and killed yetis. Yet guns haven't been around long enough for that to be true if humans have no historical record of that. If it was humans with sticks and rocks and other crude basic weaponry, this would have made more sense in accurately portraying that humans kill anything they are afraid of (I mean most people want a snake or spider killed when they see one).I also could have done without the singing as the songs weren't great. A few of the yetis also looked a bit average.

Selbst auf Mandarin oder Kantonesisch gibt es den Film in 3D,nur in Deutschland dürfen wir wieder einmal nicht entscheiden,ob wir uns den dann auch so zulegen wollen... ätzend... ansonsten ist der Film ganz okay,und man kann nur erahnen,was man verpasst,soviele Tricks scheinen für 3D einfach genial zu sein....nur ein Stern zu geben,wird dem Film nicht gerecht....deswegen gibt es 3...euch viel Spaß beim Schauen..

Independientemente de su calidad de imagen (es puro cristal y ya, solo por eso merece su compra para los gustos del bluray) ...cabe destacar que, para la poca promoción que se hizo de ella en su dia .. es una grata sorpresa no solo por un guion original y mas que actual con los youtubers ... sino humano y muy divertidoGratamente sorprendida y una de las que ha reido mas de una vez ... y de principio a fin durante toda la pelicula .. Más allá de los creditos, lo cual es todo un añadido y un acierto100% recomendable para niños y mayores ... e ideal para pasar un gran momento en familia

Na ja, hatte eine etwas lustigere und "erwachsene" Story erwartet. Ist aber wohl mehr auf Kleinkinder zugeschnitten. Da es aber eh nicht von Pixar ist, hatte ich auch nicht so viel erwartet, wenn auch erhofft.Pixar achtet gerne bei jeder Produktion auf Kleinigkeiten, wo andere Studios eher daran denken, eine Produktion schnell und billig zu veröffentlichen. Das merkt man hier leider etwas.Kann man einmal gesehen haben, muss man aber nicht.Man hättte jedenfall keinen Meilenstein der Filmgeschichte verpasst.Für Kids aber sicher was ganz nettes.

Also ich hatte den Film vor dem Kauf auf Blu Ray im Kino gesehen; er ist nicht schlecht, aber mir ist der Film etwas zu turbulent.Die Handlungen gehen zu schnell vor sich und es könnten ruhig mehr "Ruhephasen" im Film sein.Ich finde es auch schade, dass Smallfoot nur eineinhalb Stunden läuft. Könnte ruhig volle 2 Stunden sein.Man kann ihn sich anschauen, aber ich hatte mir ehrlich gesagt von diesem Film mehr erhofft. Daher kann ich leider nur 3 Sterne vergeben.

Nicht nur mir gefiel der Film sehr gut.Was kann man vom Film so sagen? Ich finde die Geschichte ganz gut erzählt. Mit sehr viel Witz und netten Figuren.Ich kann mich über nichts beklagen. Ich fand den Film von Anfang bis Schluss gut und unterhaltsam und schaue ihn mir immer wieder gerne an.
