Every one of my house plants became plagued with fungus gnats after my friend gave me a potted daffodil infested w/gnat eggs. Before finding nematodes I had tried to eradicate the gnats multiple using other methods (barriers on the soil surface, insectacidal soap, watering abstinence, traps). Nematodes were the only product that completely eradicated the eggs and stopped the cycle.I’m frugal, so the price of the nematodes kept me from trying them immediately. But after many months of failed attempts to destroy the tiny infuriating gnats, I gave nematodes a try. The shipping costs were well worth it. Make sure you schedule the package arrival for a day you can get the shipment straight into the refrigerator.I divided the nematodes into 2 batches and “watered them in” a month apart. 95% of the gnats were gone within 2 week of the first application.

I don’t know if it worked I saw 2 bugs and my plants seem to eventually recover from the attacks of bugs and aphids. I don’t see any but could it be because we’re going into fall?

The package contained the nematodes and two cold packs. The cold packs were warm, and I questioned whether the nematodes were living. I decided to try them, and sprayed all houseplant's soil twice, 10 days apart. My rather heavy infestation of fungus gnats was completely eliminated. I also placed those yellow sticky boards amongst the plants to catch adults and monitor effectiveness. These nematodes kill the larval stage only, so it takes a couple of weeks to totally eliminate the infestation. I can recommend this product highly.

These worked really well. I brought home a seedling with a mild infestation of fungus gnats. For the first week I would see one or two fly around and I’d kill them, but eventually the infestation worsened. I ended up placing the infected plant outdoors, as I primarily grow indoors, for two weeks and let the soil dry out between waterings. That caused most of the adult gnats to disperse. Upon returning the plant indoors, I doused it with the prepared nematode solution using 1/2 of the solute to 1/2 gallon of water. I treated all other house plants as a preventative measure. During the first week, I noticed one adult fly that I subsequently caught and killed. Week two I applied another treatment. So far, I haven’t noticed any fungus gnats anywhere, this has been quite a success. Will highly recommend

Only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that the seller did express mail the package and did put ice pack in but this definitely not enough to keep cold. These nematodes need to stay cold, 35-45 degrees, to stay alive and viable. It is not listed in the description as such. I live in Arizona, Phoenix area, and ordered these for a horrible fungus gnat infestation in my houseplants. I received a text notification that the package had arrived and I retrieved it immediately as I was home. The package felt very hot to the touch as it is mid summer here and temps are in the 100s. Opened package and saw there was an ice pack inside but it was completely melted and very hot to the touch as was the envelope the nematodes were in. I read the instructions immediately as wanted to start killing these buggers ASAP. That is when I read that they need to stay cold and refrigerated immediately upon arrival. I was very unhappy with this discovery considering the temp of the package being so hot. But I put the package in the frig over night hoping maybe possibly they survived the heat. I applied to the soil next day as directed but I don't even know how I'll know if the nematodes survived and are busy eating the larva of the fungas gnats. I am also using yellow sticky traps on top of the soil in every houseplant pot and catching adults by the truck loads. WORD OF WARNING!!! Do. not order these if the temperature is hot outside. I feel very strongly that the seller should include this extremely important information in the description. I also strongly feel that they should change the way they package if they are to ship in hot weather locations so it is better insulated (Styrofoam and more then 1 ice pack) so that it arrives safely and cold. I'm afraid I wasted my money and received dead nematodes.

So easy to use. Read the insert. Make sure ground is wet before you start and soak it again after application. I did it on a drizzly day to ensure they got soaked into the soil. I won’t know anything about benefits until later, but everything I read gives me high expectations.

May as well put baby powder in your water - IF there were actually nematodes in this package, they weren't alive! I've gotten live nematodes from other sellers and could almost instantly tell the difference in my plant's fungus gnat population, but this one showed NO improvement - and I treated the plants 15 days ago. At this point in time with other brands, there was a dramatic reduction in gnat population! Save your money and buy elsewhere.
