Installed new motor ,which was easier than I expected tested and it works great .

Part works great for a lot less than buying it at a RV store.

Item arrived at time at the designated delivery spot. Packaging contained a small dent however, there was no damage to the item. Ideally, this is a 2 person install. It took less than an hour to make the change out.Hope I don't have to but I'd purchase again.

This is a perfect replacement for the motor that quit.I have dealt with a awning motor in the past, and it was tightly wound with a spring. Not knowing much about this at the time, I thought this awning also had a spring-loaded mechanism.It doesn’t.I did have to remove a couple of rivets and a couple of bolts, thanks for the video on YouTube, but the installation was much easier than I thought. The biggest problem is being up on a ladder.If your awning is broken, and you use this type of motor, and have a rivet gun and some basic tools… You can do this yourself.

Dometic is not worth the cardboard box it comes in. We purchased this online from Amazon last Sept. We purchased the Dometic instead o an off brand thinking it would be better in the long run for durability rather than a knockoff brand part. Installed and worked OK up until July this year. Motor froze and not working in the in or out directions. I removed the motor and bench tested it with a 12v battery, still not working. This motor is less than a year old on a 2020 camper to boot. Amazons site claims to contact manufacturer to use the warranty, no provisions for any help. I contacted Dometic, they don't recognize the order number from Amazon, only from their order numbers for ordering directly from them. In order to claim the warranty, I have to take to a shop that is a Dometic dealer and have them diagnose the issue and place a claim. Campers World is listed as a dealer, but when I spoke to them they said they don't do warranty work on items they didn't sell.I could have bought 2 off brand motors ($160 each) for the price I paid for this 1 motor and would have had a spare to replace when one broke, plus money to go out for a nice dinner afterwards. All in all, I say DONT BUY DOMETIC, it will come back and bite you in the end.

Easy replacement but you do need a rivet gun to replace the old rivets. Some people have suggested screws, not rivets are included in the OEM kit.

Arrived on time, good packaging, direct fit replacement, with youtube video instruction quick, easy replacement, and works great!

This awning motor works well. Unfortunately, changing it out didn't fix the issue which ended up being the controller. But the motor works well.

I was so glad I found out this motor was a replacement for the motor that was in our awning . It worked and now have peace of mind.
