I loved this dimmer so much, I purchased 3 more.Easy to installI replaced all of our standard light switches in our bedrooms and living room with these. I had never installed a dimmer prior to this and I found it fairly straightforward. I have to admit the wiring on some of our standard switches was inconsistent, so I had to consult Google and a trusty hot wire detector to get it right.Additional featureI purchased these so we can adjust the lighting but the instructions allowed me to discover an additional feature: when the light is on, press for 2 seconds on the power portion and the dimmer level will begin to flash. Depending on how low the dim is, we have < 30 seconds of fading light as it shuts off. We use this feature almost every night when we leave the living room (light switch is not in a very convenient spot, so the extra time saves us from running into things or stepping on crazy cats).Everything else is as expected- dims/brightens- powers on/off- powers on at last dim level- indicator lights are bright enough to see but not bright enough to annoy at night- touch around power indicator to turn on/off- touch +/- to brighten or dimCheck for ballistaThis dimmer comes in 2 versions -- with the purple and grey wires that attach to a dimming ballista and without. The universal is without which was what we needed.
