I have a few cheaper hand mics that I got with UV5R radios - this one is reasonably priced and has a good solid feel in-hand. No complains on audio coming in, or going out. I don't know that I understand the need for the red button that still just activates PTT.Great mic option at a reasonable price. Currently using on Yaesu FT3D

keys radio on its own without even touching it then releases then doesit again o n it own by just barely moving the cod

I normally don't write reviews. I'm very the the speaker microphone. I wanted something for my FT2dr. Tested on a c4fm repeater and FM analog. Reports of good clean audio with no audio problems whatsoever. It does want I need it to do.
