Our Own Candle Company, Smoke Eliminator Scented Mason Jar Candle, 100 Hour Burn Time - 13 Ounces

Our Own Candle Company makes the best smoke eliminator candles I've ever tried (and I've tried my fair share.) I love that it's soy wax so it burns clean (no smoke or soot so long as you trim your wick properly.) I would say the amount of burn time is correct so long as your following the recommendation and only burning the candle for 4 hours at a time (you're never supposed to burn them longer than that anyway.) I've also noticed these candles burn evenly (no sinking in the middle!)...It definitely emits a "fresh" scent (to me it's similar to a fresh linen/cotton/laundry scent) but I don't find it to be too overpowering or too subtle, it's just right in my opinion and still fills the air and does its job, at least in my apartment. If you prefer scents from big name candle brands it may not be for you, or at least don't expect that to be the type of scent you're getting. Also the scent probably wouldn't fill a whole house but it certainly fills my apartment if all the doors to the bedroom and bathroom are open. It does an awesome job at completely eliminating the smell of smoke (it doesn't just cover it up like other scented candles or room sprays)...It does a great job of removing any air-borne odors in general (like last night's dinner!) The mason jar it comes in is a definite bonus, it's nice to have something you can use after the candle burns out, plus it's less wasteful! Overall I would highly recommend these candles if you have a problem with smoke odors, if you are a smoker, or live with one. I've bought them before and will most definitely buy them again!

I bought one just to try it as my ex-room mate used to smoke in his room and it stunk bad so I wanted to see if it worked first. After burning the candle for 3-4 days a couple hours at a time I can honestly say I do NOT smell cigarette smoke in that room. I purposely waited a week before I lit the candle again in there to see if the smell would come back, and there was a faint smell but I can attribute the smell as there were still some of his items in there that I could say hold the smell in. I love the smell of this candle(fresh linen), it's not over powering, it's just a light clean scent. I have since bought 2 more of them, one is for another area of the house because I like the scent and the other I gave to my ex-room mate as a gift/hint..lol. These candles burn evenly, burn a long time and when they are burning the jar doesn't get extremely hot, I can actually hold my hand around the jar with no problem, plus after it's completely burned you'll have a cute little glass mason jar with a handle and lid. Very happy and if I wasnt on disability I'd have a stock pile of these, I'd like to try some of the different scents they have..oh well, I'll save up and eventually get some more to try. I am now a converted die hard Y@Ωkee candle person to now only using OUR OWN CANDLE CO. candles. Sorry if this review is so long but when something actually works better than expected I believe in trying to let everyone know so they won't waste their $$ on something else that might not work. Well let me start off by saying i love candles.I think ive tryed just about everything there is to offer.I am a smoker and sometimes smoke in my bedroom.So Im always on the lookout for anything to eliminate the smell.When i ran across these candles on Amazon and read the mixed reviews i worried but after looking @ the great price point,that they were hand poured, and 13oz size,i was sold.And i am happy to report that the candle wick was were it was supposed to be(on some of the other buyers reviews i guess the wick had slid down and they had to dig for it).They had actully wrapped the top part of the wick around the top piece that you use when u handpour candles.So im guessing they did that to prevent the problem from happening anymore.Anyways the smell is a very nice clean scent and works wonderful.And no excess of bad burning as long as you keep the wick trimmed well.I will purchuse some of these again.Again great value and works!!

1st purchase was great. Nice clean smell. 2nd & 3rd not so good. Seems like formula has changed. Doesn't remove smoke odor & clean smell is not present.

Absolutely love this candle. Doesn't seem to matter what you cook, it eliminates the smell. The candle itself doesn't have a strong smell. Will buy more when this one runs out (though it seems to burn ridiculously slow).

Smells like mosquito repellent but it works. I can't keep it lit for more than 10-15mins as the smell is overwhelming lol. If the goal is to mask another smell, this will get the job done.

Nice size with a very gentle soft smell. Sure to enjoy. I use it in my travel trailer to eliminate cooking and other smells.
