Q: can these pans be used on an induction cooktop?

Hi dunesguy!Thanks for your inquiry on this product. My understanding is that they can be used on an induction cooktop. I would suggest you contact their distributor - Ingenio in New Jersey. Their telephone number is 1-800-284-3900 to get definitive information. I purchased a stainless steel set of four items (2 saucepan, 2 fry pan) through HSN. When you contact Ingenio verify the seasoning process which you must do BEFORE using this cookware. I didn't know about this prior to using one of the fry pans and for some reason everything (Morningstar veggie burger) stuck to the purportedly "non-stick" pan. I was really disappointed and contacted Ingenio. They informed me of the seasoning required (a bit late) and sent me a replacement pan. Their customer service rep said they could only do the replacement once! I don't want to bad mouth them as the problem might be in a bad batch of coating used on this pan, but the pan was certainly not non-stick as advertised. I would say it was more like "super sticky". I have the 8" frying pan and its 1.75 inches high. They have a 10" frying pan maybe that's deeper. They also have a 2qt saucepan and it's height is 3.22" outside and 3" inside. Hope this helps.

Q: Is the 8 inch top or bottom

The top measures 8 inches, the bottom 6 inches.

Q: How many different models of 8" fry pan does Greenpan make, and what's the difference between them all?

I just have the 8". Perhaps checking out Amazon's various Greenpan fry pans would answer your question.
