I love these hiking boots
Size was great, excellent fit. They looked just as I expected. This is my second pair of Vasquez, and the ankle support is terrific. These were on sale, so it was great value. These will be my life-long footwear.

Perfect Fit, High Quality Soles
I am an avid trail hiker. My experience with Vasque has been excellent, most especially because the cut of their boots contours to my feet perfectly. I like Merrell boots also, but find their toe width slightly wider than ideal for me. Another good feature of these Vasque boots is that they have all-leather toes, instead of webbing, which makes for a more rigid fit, which is important on steep, uneven terrain, where you don't want your foot to move inside your boot, even slightly. Additionally, the Vibram soles are the best you can buy and offer unexcelled traction.Overall, an excellent product at a good price.

Good boot but the top lace notches are a little close
I have worn these boots for a little over 6 months now. I've worn them from hiking in the desert around Las Vegas to alpine lakes in Wyoming and everything in between. They are waterproof and they fit very well out of the box. They have held up well and the sole and stiching is all still in great shape. I only have a couple minute complaints about this model is specific.1. The notches at the top you put your laces through when you leave them all the way up are way too close together when you tighen the boot up. Like almost touching. This will cause the laces to sometimes some off if you leave slack in them to start your tying. Kinda annoying but not a deal breaker as they stay laced even in very rough terrain. I'm using the stock laces as well. Aftermarket ones might be better? Still wouldn't change the fact the notches come really close together.2. The boot is not insulated AT ALL. Several times I'd thought they were compromised while walking through cold wet grass thinking my socks were soaked only to find that they were just very cold and not wet. My next pair will be insulated but that's really something you should buy more toward what and where you plan to use the boots at.When I'm not out exploring in these boots I'm wearing them almost everyday working on concrete floors. They hold up well and with the right insoles will treat your feet right.Over all I like vasque and I'll be trying a few of their other boots as well.

Most comfortable and durable hiking boot ever!
I love VASQUE hiking boots. My last pair lasted 15 years! I’m hoping these new ones are as durable and high-quality as my last pair. If you want hiking boots that you can wear comfortably from day one with no break in these are the boots for you

Quality hiking boots
These stylish Vasque hiking shoes for moderate to difficult trails are perfect, waterproof, and made of natural and advanced materials. They are a great fit and fairly stiff for steeper terrain, yet not too expensive.

Pretty good Boot, still Narrow
The style of this Vasque boot is great. It doesn't look like a moon shoe or some neon diabetic shoe prescribed by a doctor. It is a great traditional style. It is sturdy but lightweight. It is interesting that the material keeps the foot very cool - almost like having an air conditioner on your foot. But it seems solid and water resistant. I ordered the wide and like most shoes, it is still rather narrow in the foot bed. It does not have any cushioning other than the rather hard rubber tread and a paper thin insert. The laces seem always to be in the way and under the shoe when you're trying to lace them around the hooks. Great design except for being a little annoying in fit, cushioning, and lacing.

4th and last Vasque, EVER.
These are the 4th pair of Vasque boots I've owned for the similar price. However, these aren't nearly as robust of the previous ones, going back 10-years or so. I gauge a boot's quality by how easy it is to twist the sole, which goes to how stable it is on rocky trails. These boots don't hit the mark, the soles are not nearly stiff enough for a $170 boot, about $100 overpriced.Note that on my 8 year-old or so Vasque Balance boots, the heels and uppers are completely worn, but the stiffness of the soles is still excellent. Anymore, Vasque seems to be about profit and not about quality. Very disappointing.Trail report: VERY POOR. Every rock you step on comes right through to the bottom of your foot. Good for sidewalk walking, maybe.
