I got the smallest scrubber. You can see on the back just how much gunk there was on the glass until I found this magnetic scrubber that allows me to actually reach it. I'll probably use a brush to clean the back of it because the filters in the way, but this little scrubber works well and floats to the top, so you can't lose it.

Works well, but the large size is difficult to manage because of the strength of the larger magnets. They are so strong that it requires a lot of physical strength to push them across the glass & sometimes they sort of jerk & skid because I'm not strong enough to make them slide smoothly. My teenager pinched the side of her hand pretty badly with this one & had to have help to get the magnets apart to free herself. I wish I had gotten the medium size instead for my 55 gal tank. I'm not sure, but it seems to be flaking off the black calking at the corners of my tank too. It does come apart when you run it into the corners & force the magnets to let go & the part inside the tank floats like it's suppose to. It's easy to get the pieces back together on the next side of the tank, but watch your fingers!

We have just a small 10 gallon tank for the kids and I apparently didn't quite make the connection on the size of this thing when I purchased it. This thing is HUGE! I read the description about it being 4", but it just never translated in my head I guess, and I imagined it being like the kind I had as a kid - long and skinny.I was afraid it would be too bulky and with too strong of a magnet to be effective in such a small tank. But nope, it worked great! Tank was scrubbed in a matter of seconds (especially when I discovered that all that blurry gunk was on the outside of the tank from the 3 year old's hands, and not the inside) and it glided easily over the glass without any threat of losing connection and dropping inside the tank.Definitely happy with the purchase. It came with a small plant too, which looked nicer than in the picture and with a weighted bottom (haven't put it in the tank yet).

I have a child that likes to 'help' clean the tank. It's good for her to learn, but she has a tendency to move too quickly, and with the old algae glass cleaner we had, it resulted in putting my arm into the tank with a very hostile oscar to fish it out. THIS has solved the problem. I bought the large for my 120-gallon tank, and it works flawlessly. The algae is removed, and every now and then I need to retrieve the floating inner part if it becomes disconnected. The wide grip makes cleaning so much easier, as well, with less disturbance for the fish, and a faster job for me.I have nothing negative to say about this product, it has helped me greatly when it comes to maintaining the tank, and now when my daughter has an 'Oops, it fell off, Daddy' moment, I am not upsetting my fish by jamming my arm in there.

I've a 29 gallon tank and several years ago purchased a magnetic cleaner for a small tank, just to try it out. After all of this time (about three years) I finally purchased the correct size. I know, I excel at frugality. But, whatta difference the correct size makes and whatta great product!!! Obviously yes, I'm super happy! The product has done what it says, cleans the glass and algae wonderfully and magnetizes to the side of the aquarium for easy use and storage. It arrived on time, is the correct size stated and again, I'm happy.

This eraser is SO helpful!! The only confusing part is knowing how big of a one to order. Our tank is for one curiously large goldfish (I never knew they could get so big) who is now the sole occupant of his home. (We suspect he murdered his roommates slowly, one by one) We kept buying those sucky fish to clean the glass, which worked as long as they lived. However, Earl the killer fish seems to prefer living alone, so instead of dooming an additional fishy to this maniac, we decided to try this type of tool. My initial reaction after clunking this into the tank was, "I shoulda got the smaller one!" but actually, this makes the work faster. The magnet is SO strong that if you're not careful, it will move the tank! (Just go slow) Now Earl's bachelor pad tank is SUPER clean!! Highly recc'ed!

I have a 55 gallon tank so I decided to go with the large, this does an amazing job of Cleaning but the Magnets are VERY VERY strong, I would not recommend this with an acrylic tank at all. On my Glass Aquarium it is very hard to use and it pulls and actually moves my entire tank.. It does however clean.. I LOVE the way it cleans, and I LOVE the fact that if they become separated that the inside part floats. its nice.

Has been a very useful tool in our terrarium (half land and half water). We have ours split so the whole bottom half is water. We have really appreciated the help of this scrubber with the hard water that comes from our waterfall. It's useful for the little scum but definitely does not get everything off. It is a very strong magnet as well so we know it will last. The soft padding on the handled side which goes on the outside of the glass is also almost completely worn which is a little sad after such a short time, it does not effect the glass though or the effort of the inside hooks that clean the scum and hard water.
