Ok so this listing is for 2 pairs of black fishnet knee socks. Yes, true, I received 2 pair. But nowhere in the listing does it state the pairs would be totally different lengths. My first pic shows the disparity between the versions…With a quite bit of struggle, the tighter weave pair only comes to my mid calf, won’t budge any higher. The wider weave pair not only easily reaches my knee but will stretch a couple of inches up past my knee. This doesn’t really bother me but if you are purchasing these for a specific costume or just desire to own 2 pairs of true KNEE socks, well…nope? Maybe? Probably more like: Who Knows What You’ll Get?! And adding to my amusement, if you refer to my second pic, you’ll see the socks featured on the packaging show a decorative lacy elastic band, more like what you’d see on a thigh high. The Product Description backs this up with “Made of Stretchy Lace with a Pretty Ruffle Edge Trimming”. What?! No. So, really, um nothing matches up here; the fabric content is different than what’s posted too.I have a narrow heel and knobby ankles but my legs are terribly average—not thick/athletic and not willowy/stick thin. But I guess all your bases are covered here since these fit so wildly differently. Problem is, one pair is too loose for a super skinny legged girl (unless you want over-the-knee socks) and the other is too short for anyone average to curvy. I was initially concerned more about the foot size since the description has these fitting “most” at US sizes “5-8”. And I’m a 8.5-9. But they had plenty of room in the foot, I’d guess they’d work for up to a size 10. Well, at least for the pairs I received. Again, something tells me another customer might have a totally opposite experience. They offer the caveat of “there may be little errors with the size due to manual measurement, and allow slight size deviation (smaller) due to high elasticity”. I think we’d all forgive slight deviations. But 4+ inches is not slight.The toe is sorta ‘reinforced’ with a dense weave, but anyone who has worn fishnets on a long night out inevitably returns home to find one or more of their toesies have pushed right through. That’s the nature of the beast. A few weeks back I purchased a pricey European pair of fishnet knee socks by the brand FALKE. A hollowed out sock is not known for durability at any price point so I decided to just get these cheap backups; online they looked exactly like my higher end pair. Well…turns out they do look the same and feel pretty much the same too. Only there was an actual standard used with European pair… while these seem to have been pulled from a grab bag. Oh well, these are cheaper than dirt so I can’t gripe. It’s an adventure.

I love these socks... very cute, very comfortable but I can only give them 3 stars because they snag too easily. One pair already has a run at the toe after only two wears. I will consider buying another pair but I'd have to be super careful with what kind of shoes and pants to wear with them.
