Baby Safe Reusable Hand & Foot Print Ink Pads - Black

Easy way to get your baby’s hand and foot prints! I love the blue color. It’s the right size for my newborn but I don’t know if it’d fit a toddler’s hands/feet. It’s easy to clean off- I just used a baby wipe. Overall good quality!

My wife and I wanted to do hand and foot prints of our new infant and this baby ink pad was a great purchase. First off, the ink is non toxic which is great since you are using it on a infaxt. Second, the ink washes off easily, but is very effective when you place it on paper. You can reuse the pad many times until you get the exact print that you are looking for. Considering that infants rarely cooperate when you try to do their hands and feet, this is important. My wife and I had to try it 10+ times before we got a good left and right hand and foot print. Each print looked as dark as the one prior to it and even after 10+ times the ink still looks like we could use it another 10 times. The pad is a little small so it really only will fit an infacts hand and feet. Considering that what I wanted it for, it was very effective. We originally tried a touchless inkpad and realized quickly that was ineffective in doing more than one print and if the baby moved your print was ruined and the touchless inkpad was done. Thus, we found this to be a much better product.

This works great! It is tricky to get baby prints, but at least the ink is not the problem. Curling fingers and toes are. The ink pad came moist and ready to use. Our baby is "a long baby" so her feet barely fit on the ink pad at 3weeks old, but we just patted each part of her foot to make sure the ink was on there all over. It took 2 people to do the prints, so plan accordingly. The ink came off easily with some baby wipes (and baby was more upset about the cold wipe than the ink & manhandling to get prints.) The ink did get under her fingernails a bit so she had some black French tips for a couple days, but no big deal. Glad I purchased this one instead of taking a chance with a maybe-dried-out other baby ink pad.

I do agree with other reviews that state it fades to a blue. I used this ink pad for putting hand and foot prints on cards, cardstock, and a few cross-stitches (made with aida cloth). When putting prints onto fabrics, I decided to take a permanent marker or black paint, and go over the handprint, just so it would stay throughout time. Most of the note cards I have stamped prints on, stay a dark grey as long as kept out of the sun, but the ones that have been exposed to the sun have turned a mild blue, mild grey color. The ink seemed to have settled at that shade and isn't getting any further faded, though. Clean up was simple, all I used was a baby cloth/wipe. Some water and soap from a bath cleans it up too. The size of the pad is infant appropriate, needing only one of two contact presses against the foot or hand. Sometimes I could get 2 legible stamps with the same "inking", but the first was always darker, as expected. This stamp pad did do what it was intended to, though and months later, it isn't any more dry than the day I received it.

Worked great for infant foot and hand prints. Came off skin with baby wipes and a little rubbing.

This ink pad is 5 star quality. I purchased the black colored ink pad shortly after having my son, who is now 2 months old. I wanted a product that was safe for his delicate skin and wouldn't stain. With this ink pad, I have been able to document his growing hands and feet in his memory book. Although the price is a little higher than average ink pads, it is well-worth the cost for the safety and ease of use of this product. The different color options are also available and add character to memory books and crafts. This product was easy to use and easy to clean! I will definitely be purchasing again when I am in need.

So I ordered this in black. When I arrived it was pink. Which luckily for me I have a daughter. So it was fine. You have to press baby’s foot or hand pretty firmly into it and move them around to make sure they are covered. But the transfer to paper is effortless and shows up well. Dries quickly too. I’ll buy again hopefully getting the right color for baby number 2.

Buyer beware! This is a great product! It works ! It works well ! Parents need to work as a team they need to act quickly and work on a table or a room with wood or tile floors (do not use this on carpet especially a white one) capturing babies hands(harder than one would think) lots of ink on the pad it smears ,it gets knocked over easy and makes a mess(note the white carpet) keep little ones away while trying or your 3 year old may step on the ink pad then the white carpet while knocking ink upside down on carpet and smearing that as well.(Note we didnt need 3 year old foot prints in the carpet that was just an added bonus) Pictures are not needed trust me it happened ... all and all it works great be careful and take your time your prints will come out perfect ... carpets not so much. Baby wipes hold a unique power to remove almost anything. That and the bissle carpet cleaner solved the issue Enjoy!
