As any bricklayer should know, a good spacing ruler (“rat ruler”) has course count numbers so that everybody is on the same page. This tape does NOT tell you how many courses of each spacing number. You’ll have to make sure to check the actual ft/in measurement also so y’all don’t put a hog in the wall.

Wow. I've never seen a simple tool fail so spectacularly on one use. I pulled the tape out to begin measuring and at about 10 feet of tape I hear 'click'. And from that point onwards, the tape will no longer retract. I can pull it further out and it will retract back to the 10ft length, but no further. I believe the spring unwound itself.

Awesome tape. Much better then the wooden fold out rules. durable enough. well made, doesn't look cheap. functions well. very useful and handy. holding out 1 star because it's not comparable to a
