Nice PC Speakers
I bought these based on one review and I absolutely agree with the review. The sound from these speakers is very clean, rich, and balaced. On classics, these speakers reproduce the sound of pianos extremely well, which is hard even for much more expensive large speakers. Violins sound very nice too. On rocks, the sound is very rich and loud yet very clean. I believe that the good sound comes from the fact that they used good quality drivers. The speakers are USB powered so it doesn't need wall power supplies and the connection to PC is very simple. I checked the power consumption and it draws less than 0.5 watts when powered with no audio input. I like the design and the style. It is neat and clean. I think it is the way that every PC speakers should be designed. Now I enjoy more music from these speakers.

Surprising Sound!
I returned another pair that were 3X the cost and 1.5x the size of these and they did not even come close the sound of these little guys. I decided to try them on a whim since the $22 cost and 4 star rating seemed like a reasonable risk. I was pleasantly surprised, they are not Audiophile quality, but are easily 3-4 times better than the entry-level speakers that come standard with a new computer. The dynamic range is nicely balanced and the volume is pretty loud. Although on my computer, most of my listening is only at 20-30% volume on most days - at a low volume the treble/mid is clear and the bass is prominent and they do not sound muddy. I use the speakers when I am working on my computer (normally use my main stereo for "real" music listening"). As a supplemental sound, I would highly recommend these. My main gripe is the cord is pretty short and the speakers are hardwired - not sure why they made it so short?! I have a corner workstation set-up and the computer is 2' to one side in an enclosure. The cable was not long enough to allow me to center and separate the speakers behind the monitor I wound up soldering and splicing a 2' section of wire between the speakers and the problem was easily solved.

Fabulous!
I don't normally gush about such things but these speakers were a real find. They plugged in very easily into my MacBook and produced great sound. Kids and I have tested the range with Chopin and Mozart, as well as some Bollywood music. Everything has sounded great so far. The speakers also look nice and traditional, unlike most other tech looking ones in the same price range.

poor quality. neither speaker played from laptop...possibly not enough power thru USB cable. Only one speaker played from desktop.

Disappointing sound
I bought these speakers to use with either or both a 32” HDTV and an iMac. My criteria were 1) spending no more than $50, 2) being USB powered so they would consume little electricity and (hopefully) shut off when the TV or computer were shut down, and 3) being reasonably good sounding with at least some mid to upper range bass (I wasn’t expecting subwoofer range frequencies). I narrowed it down to the Amazon Basics, Satechi Dual Sonic, Earise, and the GOgroove SonaWave O2 and SonaVerse Ti. I chose the Earise because of what appeared in the picture to be two 2”-3” drivers in the front of each cabinet (drivers of that size, if designed well enough, should be able to produce some bass frequencies), also the product descriptions claim of “rich and strong sound” and a frequency range that extends from a high of 20khz, down to a low of 90hz, which is good bass territory. Also because of the positive reviews on Amazon. I tried them out first on the TV. The TV does not have a headphone jack so I got a C2G (1 female 3.5mm / 2 male RCA audio) plug adapter to plug into the composite audio out plugs on the TV. The speakers came on and produced sound that was a bit of an improvement over the TV speakers but not much. However, as I was worried might happen, plugging into the composite audio out plugs on the TV deactivated the TV’s audio controls, making it impossible to use the TV remote to control volume, or to adjust sound settings in the TV menu. Not the fault of the speakers or the adapter. Next I tried them on the computer. Of the eight people who had written reviews on Amazon for these speakers, five were positive and three were negative. After listening on the computer for a little while, I unfortunately have to agree with the critical reviews. Listening to some rock, jazz, and classical music, none of which are not overly demanding of bass, it’s immediately apparent that there is absolutely no bass whatsoever. It’s mostly higher frequencies with modest amounts of midrange. I opened a music file in Audacity and messed around with the graphic equalizer and found that the speakers could not produce any sounds below 100hz (manufacturer claims they can go down to 90hz), and could barely produce any sounds between 100hz and 200hz. It’s that small amount of sound from the 100-200hz range that mixes with the higher frequencies to give these speakers the moderate amount of midrange that they have. At best they are not much if any better than the built in speakers in the iMac. I thought, based on the product description claims and positive Amazon reviews, that I would like these speakers enough to want to keep them, unfortunately I do not. It’s kind of upsetting that the product description and the positive reviewers would use such misleading terms to describe the quality of sound from these speakers. They do sound clear (although there was a little distortion at medium to higher volumes) and they can get fairly loud and, they are pretty nice looking. But they have no bass at all and the sound overall is, in my opinion mediocre. I’m giving them only two stars.

3 1/2 stars
These speakers are pretty good with decent sound, particularly for the price. If you have blue tooth on your computer, you'll be happier looking for blue tooth speakers. There is not a lot of wire to locate the speakers as I would like and they are too bulky to use with a laptop. I'm using in my office with my non-blue tooth desktop.

Amazing Product at a Low Price
For the size and price, these speakers are an absolute bargain. They are 3 1/2" x7" and are just amazing. To be honest, I didn't expect to get speakers of this quality for 30 bucks. But they have an excellent sound all throughout the tonal range frombass to treble, and I have dabbled in audiophilia in the past so I'm no novice. Thequality of the reproduction remains constant all the way to the top of the volumerange of my PC. I love to listen to music and music videos and I guarantee if I turnthese all the way up, the wife will come ask me to turn them down. Good companyto order from, too (Gemini Doctor).

Great combo with mac mini
I bought these speakers for use with my Mac mini ... rich sound for their size, clean design, and the price is right. I can't speak to audiophiles, but if you need speakers for a bedroom or small office space, these are perfect.
