Excellent inexpensive wicks for vintage central draft lamps.
Perfect fit for my Plume & Atwood “Magnet” lamps. Wick mechanism works smoothly and reliably. Also fits my Bradley & Hubbard/Rayo lamps, though the wick is a little thicker than the stock ones. Once saturated with kerosene they move freely enough.Wick well with kerosene. Have not had any issues with the wicks burning as the oil level in the fount decreases. Light output is exceptional with the P&A lamps. These wicks are cheaper than some of the “better” ones on the market, but their price/performance and availability make up the difference.Already ordered more so I can have plenty on hand for new acquisitions and my daily use lamps.

Make sure you use enough lamp oil!
I bought this wick for an antique Fostoria oil lamp that belonged to my grandmother. With the oil level too low, the wick was burning through very quickly. We added more, and now it burns wonderfully! I was thrilled to be able to use the lamp!

Really well made, but on the thicker side.
The media could not be loaded. Fantastic quality, which is what I expected from this manufacturer. Every kind of wick that I’ve purchased from them has been very good. Do keep in mind that this wick is on the thicker side. This can make it difficult to raise. I’ve found that it easily raises to a good point for normal use, and can raise higher once it warms up. The thick material wicks very well, so you don’t need much exposed to get a good flame. You may have to play around a bit to figure out how/when you can raise the wick.Be sure to char and level your wick properly. Essentially, you get it as level as you can and either add some kerosene to the top of the wick or let the lamp run dry. When it runs dry, the wick will gently burn down so that it is all level with the center tube and gallery. Be sure to lower it to a reasonable level before this happens so you don’t burn off more than required.I give it 4 stars because the thickness can make it more difficult to use than a wick that is more in spec, but otherwise it is everything I was looking for.
