CTK1215 Tone Probe, Blue/Red

Ok, so.... When you're buying something off the internet the one thing it should do is match the picture. It does not. I may be returning this based on being sold a product different than as pictured. The color isn't even close, and the area around the button of the wand is shaped differently. This tells me you sold me a model which is different than what you said you are selling. Mine says ct1215, yours says ctk1215. I'll be researching to find out if this is newer or older, but regardless, it's not as represented. I needed a high power toner, but I thought I was buying one that matched my pockethernet, which is beautiful, and not my fluke, which was almost $100 cheaper and does the same job, but possibly with less power. At this time I have to say don't buy it. It does sound nice and loud, but I have not field tested so don't know if it will be better with interference and being distance. I intend to update after testing.

This tool delivers on all the claimed capability - no contest - better than anything I've previously owned. It makes you wonder why all cable tracing gear isn't this powerful. We found the correct ends of six incorrectly labeled or unlabeled "mystery" jacks in our building within the first hour of this tool being onsite. You can trace CAT5 cables on the back side of the punchdown panels - away from the clutter of patch cables, etc and quickly find which bundle your target is in before moving around to the cluttered side for the final precise location. The previously used toner tools would have you poking around forever trying to find a signal, usually bumping other cables out of place and causing more problems than you were fixing. I will never put up with that nonsense again. This tool is a gem.

I bought this to be proactive in helping our IT people get a number of new desk stations set up. They all had their professional tools as they do this every day. My tone tool ended up working better than theirs. Everyone was using mine as it read better and quicker. Great tool as other ratings have said. For the price it's a no brainer!

I was very impressed with how well this works. I opened it up the other day and tested it on the clients network and was able to easily identify the cable. It is perhaps more expensive than the others but has worked a lot better even than the digital fluke that I have. Well done guys
