Easy to install, works great
The element went out in my 2021 camper and this arrived quickly and I was able to make the switch in minutes. The water is really, really hot.

Good effective element
Fit perfectly in 40 gallon heater. Water gets hot fast. What else do you need.

Poor quality
Purchased 4 of these. Installed one and 2 weeks later, no hot water. Removed it, found it to have corroded at the base. Did an Ohms test, OL, failed. Threw that in the trash. Replaced it with the 2nd of the 4, it lasted only 16 days. Removed that and found it failed in the same manner. These pictures are of the 2nd failed element. Unfortunately, outside of the return window.

Very good for bucket boiler
I used this to make a bucket boiler for cooking shrimp and crawfish boils in a 5 gallon bucket. To get it to fit through the 1" EMT coupling, I had to use a vise to slightly narrow the gap in the element at the end. The only challenge I ran into was that the supplied gasket deformed with even a little pressure applied and I couldn't keep it water tight. I removed the gasket and used a ton of teflon tape on the threads and got it water tight. After hooking up the lamp cord, I used hot melt glue to cover the wire and screws. Using a normal house 120v circuit and water that was 150 degrees out of the tap, it took about a half hour to achieve a solid boil with a half filled bucket.

The perfect solution for what I wanted to accomplish.
I used 2 of these in my short 40 gallon 240 volt water heater that had 4500 watt elements. I recently installed a 5000 watt Inverter to use with solar and Lithium battery backup. I tried to figure out how to use the solar to heat my water heater and run several other things with only a 5000 watt inverter and 3 lithium batteries of about 15,000 watt hours. I replaced the 4500 watt with these 1500 watt, and its working just fine. They take longer to heat the water, but that's not been a problem--so far. I hope to add a high efficiency mini split heat pump that the inverter should be able to handle, since I only have 1500 watt elements now, and the other loads are not that great, being 3 small refrigerators, and a freezer, and some other items, such as lights and computer equipment.

Works great , great price and fits 1" bulkhead
My only complaint is that they don't give any information on its size so I had to hope for the best when I ordered the matching bulkhead.. luckily it all fit

Water heater element failed
Last purchased Mar 19, 2025 it is now July 31, 2025 and the water heater element has failed. So for 5 months it has produced hot water for my 6 gal RV water tank. I would NOT recommend this element. When I put a multi meter to test if it was getting 110v, it showed that it was getting electricity. Upon removal the element looked good with the exception of some rust where the electrode enters the threaded body. So I went to the local ACE Hardware and for 20 bucks got a new one.

Failed after 1 year of use. Dissection revealed the internal nickle chromium heating coil burned inside the bend. There appears to be a void in the insulation.

Défectueux au bout d'une semaine.

On first inspection, I noticed some melted plastic around the head of the element on one terminal side. I was desperate so thought I would give it a try hoping it was only a cosmetic issue. It worked well for about a week but again no hot water. Readings from my multimeter suggest there is a break in conductivity. Given my earlier observations, I suspect I was sold a factory second. I will have to drain the system and replace it again. Unfortunately I cannot find a replacement locally so will have to endure the long wait again.
