Best boots I have ever owned... period!
I have a tendency to write long reviews when I like a purchase. I could write a couple pages on these boots but I'll keep it short today. I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!! These boots are wonderful and worth every penny. They truly are the best boots I have ever owned. They are high quality, they fit great ( I take a 8.5 so I ordered a 9 ), they look fantastic and they are comfortable. The first time I wore them I could not stop smiling every time I looked at them. I got a compliment on them the first day I wore them while I was standing in line at Target- a guy said "Hey those are nice boots, that white stitching looks great, where did you get them?" I told him they were Docs from Amazon. I like these boots so much I bought a second pair in case Docs stops making them in the future..THATS HOW MUCH I LIKE THEM:)

Great boot!
These are great boots! If you have a local retailer near you I recommend stopping by to determine your size, the chart here seems hit or miss. The insoles are the only negative to these boots. They're about 1/8" thick at the heal and are marginally softer than plywood. Seriously, toss them, put in a good set and you will love these boots. Well worth the extra few dollars for good insoles. The leather is thick and strong, will likely require a little break in time for most folks but should hold up well for a long time to come with proper care. I like the Dr. Marten's Wonder balasm to protect and condition the leather keeping them looking and feeling great. The soles are a nice bouncy rubber ideal for long days on your feet. The treads are a bit more aggressive than most "Doc" styles which is great for a work boot. Nice for grip and should wear longer. The padding around the ankle and heal bed is awesome. As a welder by trade I've worn Wellington style slip on boots for years (no laces to burn off) and have never seen a pair with this feature. It offers some protection from knocks to the ankles and gives the feel of a custom fit. Classic Wellington styling combined with that "Doc" flare makes for one heck of a good looking boot.

Order a size up...
Order up a size up from your usual shoe size. For reference, I traditionally wear a 11.5 regular width in Vans or Redwings. I ordered a 12 and it's a perfect fit. So the boots run a little small and a little narrow. I'm wearing these fresh out of the box and the leather is stiff, I would not have been able to get my foot in the boot if I ordered my usual size. They're awesome boots, the soles are really comfortable, and my feet don't slide around in them. I got them to be sort of work boots, sort of everyday boots.

Lightweight, comfortable
I bought these boots as the pull-on design was what I was looking for and Doc Martens always had a reputation of comfort and quality. I drive commercially hauling water in the gas and oil industry so the steel toe is a must, but wanted something lightweight as my feet can be busy working clutch, throttle, and brake as well as climbing in and out of the truck over a 12 hour shift. The pull on design is great as I am able to put on and remove when I'm making longer trips at which time I put on my driving shoes, especially in hot weather. I've had these about 2 months so far in cold weather and my feet stay warm enough, but not as warm as my insulated hunting boots. If someone was buying these to be outside in cold climate for extended periods of time I would suggest going a half or full size bigger with an insulated sock. Speaking of size, the boots were slightly on the tight side for my size, but have loosened some as they break in. So far I have no complaints and the boots are performing as I expected. I would recommend as they are a good product and the price was very good.

Best Work Boot Out There!
I've worn this model of Doc Martin boots for the past 15 years. I'm an electrician and I'm on my feet all day long. I have previously worn Red Wings and a few other brands before finding these. The boots come padded so they need less break in time then all the others I've tried, and the sole last longer than any other boot I've had. I had to replace my red-wing boots not because of wear and tear, but because their sole wore out. These I replace every 2-3 years because I wear them for so long that they just look worn out and unprofessional when I'm going into customer's houses. And the last benefit is that these are about as easy on your wallet as any quality work boot you can buy.

Great boots! The pictures don’t do them justice!
The pictures don’t do these boots justice! They are absolutely gorgeous. They are a very good quality boot despite being made in China and not in England. Didn’t know that was a thing. Very comfortable to walk in but it takes a little getting used to the clunky boot. Now it’s time to break them in 👀.. they dig into the back of my heel a little which I solved by wearing thick Winter wool socks! It is February! These boots rock. I feel like I can kick some butt with these on! I also invested in the doc martens brand of clear wax to keep them clean. Just recently tracked through snow and puddles and it cleaned them perfectly. The pics in this post are after the snow trek.. I’ve definitely been putting them to good use since I got them!

Arrived 10 days earlier than expected. Fit great, immediately comfortable. Little stiff before breaking in, but I'm used to red wings. Very comfy sole. Will have to see how the flex is once they break in further, and how well they wear.
