Hong Kong Style Dragon Beard Candy 100% Hand Made 24g x 2 boxes

Made an excelent addition to tea time & was not overly sweet.Bought after watching a ton of youtube “how to make” videos and had to try for myself.100% do not regret trying- but the candy didn’t knock my socks off. Not something I’ll order to keep on the shelf.

Product made and shipped from Hong Kong. The candy is very delicate and fragile. When I received the shipment much of the candy had been pulverized despite being well-packaged. Consequently the product value is dimimished.

I was craving for the dragon beard candy the other day. This product is no where near the real dragon candy I ate in Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco. It is too expensive for a few little piece of sugar. Don’t waste your money. I am still carving for dragon candy.

The packaging came fell apart with white powder crumbs all over when opening the plastic wrap. Doesn't taste very good, not fresh. And each package comes with 4 counts. each the size of a thumb. Not good value nor taste like the real thing you get in Chinatown.

These are addicting! I want more and more every time I put it in my mouth. I wish I can order a crate of this great stuff.

As some other reviewers mentioned, you do not get many candies considering the price. They are also not very big. One box contains four of these candies. The candies are in a plastic tray which also contains a silica gel packet to retain freshness and to remove moisture. That tray itself is inside a sealed foil, which in turn is in the little box. Overall the size of the tray once you get it out of the box is about the size of a medium sized hand. So, yes, these candies are small. These candies are also not very sweet. If you are expecting something that tastes like American style cotton candy you will be disappointed. It is also not very soft or fluffy. The texture is certainly more crispy. I know some people have mentioned that they cannot pull it apart to see the so-called dragons beard, but if you are gentle enough, I do find that you can pull it apart a little bit to see the strands of sugar coated with cornstarch.Due to the size of the candy, you will not be able to pull it apart very far before the contents of the filling come spilling out. it is a very nutty and only slightly sweet treat. Although this is almond flavor, I do also detect peanuts and sesame seeds in the filling. I like both so this does not bother me. Conclusion: if you want something different and you don’t like overly sweet candies and if you like nuts, I definitely suggest giving these a try. Due to the price I would not buy these too often, but on occasion I think this might make a nice treat. I wish they could offer at least 12 candies for that price, but either way, I was happy I tried this. The expiration date was good for another year or two. These were reasonably fresh and pretty much what I expected based on the description. Goes very well with coffee or tea.

It was everything I expected and more. Arrived on time and in fantastic condition. Tasted fantastic. I will order more in the near future.

Yes, pieces are small. A little bigger than the size of my thumbprint. I did enjoy the taste though, but I've been waiting to try Dragons beard for a very long time. I had the almond flavor, which seems to include sesame seeds, which I didn't mind, but they are tiny, and got stuck in my teeth. The taste is.. Not as sweet as I thought it'd be. Just a slight hint of sweetness when you first bite in, but it's a thin layer of beard, so the almond takes over quickly. Very powdery. Eat over a napkin. Doesn't pull apart like I expected.I would buy again-if it were cheaper!! But for such small portion, I probably won't purchase again.
