The taste is great, plenty of seasoning
I bought this just to follow a falafel crusted chicken recipe and wasn't sure about it, but I ended up loving it! The taste is great, plenty of seasoning. Good consistency. I ended up just making regular falafels with the rest and they turned out great too. I would definitely buy these again.

THREE allergens NOT in contents listed online
Costing them me two hours to return this product due to company fraud where the actual item contains 3 ingredients left out of online list of ingredients. This was totally avoidable by the company being competent and truthful. If you are allergic to eggs onions garlic do NOT buy this stuff. Not disclosed online but in the mix. What a waste.

Contains MSG :(
Haven't prepared these yet but wish the ingredient list had been somewhere in the description as I wouldn't have purchased this particular mix. Ingredients are: dehydrated ground chickpeas, bread crumbs, salt, cumin, tumeric, parsley, monosodium glutamate, baking powder. The two things that catch my eye is no breakdown on the bread crumb ingredients and the msg. I try to avoid msg whenever possible and would like to know what ingredients are in the bread crumbs as that can vary. The box also arrived open but the inside foil pouch was well sealed still so safe to use. No saturated fat, trans fat, or cholesterol but 714.9 mg of sodium per serving...ouch!

lacks seasoning
I like everything about this product except that it isn't seasoned well. This may be preferable in some ethnic cuisine, but I have never eaten felafel so bland. It contains 110mg sodium/serving not 753mg as someone else wrote...which is fine considering the recommended maximum daily sodium intake is 2,300mg and most Americans consume 3,800mg/day.. You would have to eat the entire box to consume 2,300mg sodium. The MSG is a non issue for me. It also has breadcrumbs, which is wheat. Again a non issue for me. But I'd rather have fava bean mixed with the chickpea. The price is very reasonable considering you'll pay almost $10.00 for other brands. Just add some seasoning and it's fine.
