Stopped the infamous GM clunky transmission shift
I have a 2021 Silverado LT with the 4cylinder (L3B) engine and 8L90 transmissions that developed the infamous lunking/lurching/hard shift shutter. I dropped the pan, put in a new filter, and replaced 7.5Qts of the OEM trans fluid with this Mobil 1 LV ATF HP and the shuttering stopped. Your mileage may vary.

Came as Blue Label (Black label is the old stuff). Used in 2018 Chevy 6L80. Smoother shifts and help eliminate shudder.

2022 Chevy Colorado Z71 77,000 miles ATF fluid replacement
Mobile 1 Blue label LV ATF HP is a game changer. Fast and clean delivery. I didn’t replace the filter just fluid in the pan twice, total 7 quarts each time. I did it twice but mine was pretty dirty. After the first fluid change, drive for about 50 miles. What a difference in shifting and easy to do, anyone can do this. No need to lift the truck, got it done in an hour. To check level of fluid, you must have truck on and cycle transmission PRND a few times and wait till the transmission temperature reaches 131’ degrees and then unscrew drain plug, let out excess till dribbling then screw back in plug.Check out YouTube videos, it will help.

Good deal!
I have a 2020 Chevrolet and all GM owners know it’s a no go on the black label (what’s pictured), I ordered because I saw a lot of comments that it was really the Blue label and some comments that it’s the black label. Well I just received my 3 boxes (18 quarts) and…… it’s blue label! Definitely would buy again. Good deal!

Ordered Feb ‘24 and received the blue label which is what you want
Mobil 1 discontinued the black label fluid because it is hydroscopic and will slowly absorb moisture from the atmosphere. This contaminates your ATF and causes odd shifting, most commonly shudder, fish bite or rubber band feeling.Yes your transmission is “sealed” but it has a vent hose to the atmosphere and this is how the old black label fluid absorbed moisture.I’ve never had the shudder problem in my 2018 8l90 sierra 1500 but I still changed out the factory fluid at 30k miles so I hopefully don’t get that problem. My 8 speed has been good but still does some confused shifting when on and off throttle in 10 - 30 mph traffic but that’s probably more of a factory tuning problem trying to get maximum mpg.Make sure it is shipped AND sold by Amazon.com and you will probably get the blue label fluid. If you buy from 3rd party seller ask them the part number and fit its black label or blue label.See pic of blue label fluid

I shudder to think...
...of how much money I might've wasted on a transmission overhaul in a pre-YouTube era. My 2018 Chevy Colorado's 8L45 8-Speed recently started exhibiting the notorious shudder right on cue at 42K miles. I was worried I might be looking at a costly mechanical issue, but lots of research and DIY videos led me to try this first, and boy am I glad I did! I was skeptical that a simple fluid change could alleviate such a symptom, but I can attest: the improvement is immediate, tangible, and undeniable. After replacing 9 quarts of the OEM Dexron with M1 Synthetic LV, I have smoother, quieter upshifting, no klunky, hesitant downshifting, no more sloshing sounds when accelerating, and zero shudder. My truck suddenly drives like it did the first day I rolled it off the lot. Color me impressed!

Value for your buck!
I use Mobile 1 in all of my 13 vehicles (including my 8 Corvettes). I do all the work on my vehicles. I started using Mobile 1 in my vehicles in the mid 90's. The thing that sold me on Mobile 1 was, in 98, I had a small car for a commuter. I have always been punctual with my vehicle maintenance. I started a new job that required long hours. I kept putting off changing the transmission oil, because I'm order to do it, I had to take loose a motor mount and the cross member under the pan, and it was way overdue (about 20,000). When I got around to it finally, it was still red with no metal shavings in it. I changed the factory oil at 20,000, and it has dark brown with some shavings on the magnet. I'll never go back!It is time to change my fluid, so I purchased this oil for my 2016 Corvette Stingray's 8-speed automatic transmission. GM replaced their original fluid recommendation from theirs to this Mobile 1 formula.
