It works
How do you review a capo? I think that's a valid question. There are many capos out there, Amazon has a ton of them. I picked this one. Why? I don't know, maybe I liked the way it looked, maybe I liked some of the reviews, maybe, maybe, maybe. Anyway, I ordered this capo and am very pleased with it. It is easy to put on the neck of my guitar, depresses the strings very well, and I don't know what else to say about it. It is a capo, and if I ever need another capo, I will likely buy one of these. It also comes in a nice, cloth pouch (not sure why but it is a nice touch). It is quite a step up from my previous capo that I purchased with my first guitar (the one I still play, or try to play) in 1981, if that helps. My old one still worked fine but I just felt like buying something new. I don't know where I put my old one, I don't need it anymore now that I have this one. If this helps you decide to purchase this capo over another, great, I don't think you will regret it.

High quality. A squeeze and it's on.
High quality capo. Heavy in weight, but the finish is deep and lustrous. A simple squeeze of the pistol-like grip and the capo opens easily to fit on the neck of any of my 3 basses. The capo exerts strong pressure on the strings, but the felt under the capo bar is thick and snuggles up well next to a fret. No wrapping a band around the guitar neck; just squeeze, guide the capo over the fret, and release. Done-without any other needed adjustment. This is definately one of the best quality capo's I've purchased over the years. It arrived in 2 days and I am not the slightest bit disappointed with the product. If you are seeking a quick release capo, buy this one. I chose black and it's a beauty. Well done on this product. I highly recommend. Nice to get something that really is well made and functions just like you hoped it would.

00 USD capo out there that is nice but unproven in my book
I am an old pro and I have spent time and money over the years searching for a capo that actually worked with ease of changeup and little if anytuning issues. This Nordic Capo just arrived and I am very impressed. . For this price it is a just as good as an 80.00 capo. It is the best capo around and for the price I can buy 2 more and still come out ahead. I will be advising everyone I know to invest in a Nordic Deluxe Capo and I look forward to more stress free nights on the boards. Thanks for giving us working bums a better tool for the trade.

Great capo once I modified it
I've been a serious guitar player for sixty years. I've used the standard Shubb ever since it appeared on the market, but wanted to get something that will quick-change between frets. This one does, but I had to cut 3/8" off the end of it and refinish the cut end before it would work for me. It is a mistake for Nordic to make a "one size fits all" capo. This capo is wide enough for a very wide fingerboard, but on my Martin HD-28 it stuck out and got in the way. I tried to use it once, and then marked it with a sharpie, cut off the end, and carefully ground and polished the end. Nordic would be a whole lot better off if they offered several different models - one for guitars with wide flat fingerboard, one for guitars with narrow curved fingerboard, and one for mandolin or banjo. The one-size-fits-all model doesn't work as well for any of those instruments.

fine specimen
this is a high quality, beautifully simple, and completely functional piece of guitar hardware. it even came with a nice little synch top cloth bag that is pretty good quality. (i actually have a little black synch top bag collection...don't ask) ANYWAY, i have only one complaint about the design. i have a custom built acoustic that i basically treat like its made of glass. in the joint where it clamps to the neck, its totally unpadded metal. with the neck side arm being a little dinky, its easy to hit the side of the fretboard with the bare metal. once you line it up and get it clamped on, it's absolutely rock solid with those thick rubber pads. i don't have any guitar buddies to show it off to, but i would recommend this to anyone looking for a great capo.

It's a capo. It works. Enough said.
It's a capo. It does what it should. It's a bit tight but I'm sure after breaking it in it the spring won't be so hard. These types of capos aren't good for your strings if left there too long. They put too much tension on the string and pull your guitar out of tune. That said, as long as you use it like a normal person and keep it on the neck only for the time you need to use it then it works beautifully. And don't be one of those people to clamp it to their headstock when they aren't playing it. You're dampening your guitar's tone.I love this capo. Fits perfect, does it's job, has a fantastic finish and a classy look, and comes in a real slick little sack.

Great product but came with pockmarks on the face of the capo
Great capo, applies just the right amount of pressure so that there is no string buzz and everything stays wonderfully in tune. Looks great too. The only reason I'm not giving this capo 5 stars is because mine came with these deep pock marks on the face of the capo. If you're buying this capo for the looks, the pockmarks defeat the purpose of the purchase. It looks like these came about because something happened during the finishing process or someone dropped it. Would give this 5 stars if they had better quality control. Also I want to say that there are a lot of cheaper capos out there copying this style. Buy this one. It's made entirely of metal unlike the others which use plastic.

Buy with confidence, great product
I have had this capo for over a year & had been very happy with it. I have small hands and so many capos can be awkward for me to use if there is a large spread. I only mention the following to showcase the company’s excellent customer service: Suddenly the metal seemed to fail & it broke. I contacted the company and they responded right away and are sending a replacement for free! They also thanked me for sharing the picture of the damaged product so they can continue to improve their product & keep this from occurring again. You can buy this with confidence that if something does go wrong, it will be taken care of. Great customer care, Nordic!!

Same as a Donner DC2.
Unusual bronze colour which is good looking. Bought this as it indicated good for 12 string guitar. This didn't perform any differently to an existing capo of the same design. Possibly design or a guitar issue, slight radius on fret board? Certainly doesn't hold the 12th string on the first 3 frets. This capo is exactly the same as the Donner DC2 capo which is £8 cheaper, just a different logo. OK, you get it in a box with a cloth carry bag and a warranty, but gofor the other one

Excellent Capo
I have a variety of capos, Shubb, G7, etc, so I thought I'd give this one a try as it has different mechanics to the others. It appears to be very well built and finished. The spring is very strong and clamps the strings very well. I've not had any real tuning issues with it. I own several high end guitars and am a stickler for quality. Because of its length and strength it makes it an ideal capo for my Michael Messer resonator guitar as it holds the heavier gauge strings firmly in place with no buzzing whatsoever. A very well made piece of kit."Received a nice email from the owner of the company hoping that I would enjoy my purchase, and a follow up promised to update him on my view. Excellent service"

Doff your Capo
I'm very pleased with this Capo. It does all the things it should like keeping my strings pressed without any looseness or vibration, and as it's black it visually suits all of my guitars. I have mix of electric, acoustic, spanish and traditional classical guitars and it works well with them all. It feels and handles like a quality accessory. My other Capo was a cheaper aluminium offering which whilst it did the job looked like a broken off piece of a discarded fridge. I'd recommend this Capo to anybody who needs one. I

Just the Job
I purchased this capo for Ukulele but I liked it so much, that I changed it for the one currently used on my Mandolin(s)… As I have two antique Neapolitan Bowl back Mandolins, the antiqued bronze finish on this capo look more in keeping with my special collection of old Mandolins. One happy mandolin player. BTW: the soft-pads on this capo, better protects my antique instruments as well. And the pouch the capo comes with, is a bonus.

Fantastic capo
Bought this capo on the strength of previous reviews and am happy to say I am not disappointed. It's very well made, looks good and frets the strings on all my guitars very well indeed (and that includes my old 12 string). It works just as well on electrics as on acoustics and, so far, doesn't get in the way of my left hand. The spring is pretty strong and would make a handy device for strengthening your fingers if you were to sit and play with it!Comes with a nice little bag and the follow up emails suggest a company that genuinely care about both their product and customer.
