I mistakenly thought I could move my fish to a new tank by starting the new tank with 50% of the old tanks water. Those of you that know, know how that went. 6 weeks later, a ton of chemicals and 50% fish loss, I now get a 0 kh and a 17 gh reading. My pH and ammonia are roller coastering. Ugg. Water changes, interneting, ammonia safe chemicals, limestone rocks... I went to local pet stores and found nothing but seachem neutral.. which i bought and tried. I ended up with 0 kh and 14 gh. So I bought this.. on line.. and stressed all weekend until it arrived.The product arrived in good shape.. it was wrapped in paper and did not get broken during shipping. At this point, my pH is so light yellow.. 6 I'd guess. Maybe higher! I followed the instructions.. no kh change. 2 hrs later I did it again. Minor kh change. Like, I MIGHT have saw a hint of color change before I shook the vial. 2 hrs later (yes. I did it again the same night. I know what the instructions read, but at this point, it's about winning the fight - I can't stop). Then I walked away. In the morning, I rechecked.I was sitting pretty at 3 kh, 12 gh, 6.8 pH, 0 nitrites, .25pph ammonia and 5ppm nitrates. I am not sure how long this will hold.. but I am hopeful. I am leaving the tank as is and hope my bacteria can now do their thing and take care of the ammonia. I will recheck tonight.PS. I am now working on my chemistry doctorate (lol)

I am trying this instead of seachem neutral regulator, so far so good. I had bacterial blooms with my seachem/ phosphate one.

The last one that I got was rock hard. I kept it but it’s a pain because I have to scrap any amount loose to use it.
