A Fantastic Book of Mandalas With a Geometric Twist!!!!
Oh I just love this book! My husband saw it and wanted this picture and that one and I ended up purchasing two so he could have his own! There are 31 mandala type pictures to color - these are best described (by me anyway lol) as a mandala that is mixed with geometric design. All of the pages have a centered mandala in the middle and as the mandala expands, the geometric aspect tends to get larger or more pronounced and I just love this - quite a nice and unique twist on traditional mandala books. The way the pages are designed, it is up to the user as to what medium to use and due to the type of design, you can easily use pencils and have the room to blend colors or just use pens and/or markers and color them withoug the need to blend colors. I have completed a few pages and on one I picked four primary colors and four secondary colors (all gel pens) and the end result was really fantastic. On another page, I used pencil only and as the mandala shape spread, I took my colors and blended them and got another awesome finished page. Of note, my husband colored a couple of the same pictures that I did using different medium and it was like looking at a different picture - so this is a book where your imagination can take you anywhere! I did not have any problems at all with the gel pen page I colored, none of them leaked through or caused any issue with the paper. I have used markers in this book and they do bleed through so if you do not remove pages from your book you will need to use some chip board or a couple of pages of copy paper to prevent damage to the following page. All designs are printed in high quality resolution and on one side of the page only. All pages are perforated for easy removal. The paper is a decent quality white and as stated, no problems with pencils, gel pens or markers. This is a great book and I just love the designs that John Wik put in this book - looking forward to perhaps a second book like this!

Unusual geometric patterns with a mandala influence
The media could not be loaded. This is a coloring book filled with 31 interesting patterns with a mandalas type vibe. The artist involved with this book, John Wik, has done several other Creative Haven books on tesselations and other geometric shapes. While some of his previous books have been reprints, this one does not appear to be one. I don't own any of his other books, so this one is, at the very least, new to me. The shapes are very interesting and call for lots of colorThere are 31 designs in this coloring book which are printed on bright white perforated paper that is a fairly heavy stock. The designs are printed on one side of the page only. I usually like to remove my projects from the books to work on and I love that Creative Haven always makes it easy for me to do so.All of my gel pens and markers bleed through on Creative Haven books to varying degrees. I use chip board, cardstock, or freezer paper in between the sheets (if I am keeping it in the book) or under the page if I remove it from the book.

Enjoyable
Enjoyed this coloring book a bit mroe then others I ordered recently. I like that the designs are not incredibly intricate and there is room for shading and not as much eye stress for us "older folk" Would recommend it just for comfortable fun

Easy Geometric Coloring Book
I used this coloring book as an adult for leisure. It is great for markers if you like to use markers because the paper quality is good and the pictures are only printed on one side. All pages are also perforated. I only have three pages left in this coloring book. As it turns out, it is one of my favorite coloring books. The designs don't take very long to do, which I like. It is similar in concept to John Wik's Mandala Techellations, but the main difference is that these designs continue with a unique pattern all the way to the border instead of the main pattern repeating in each corner. I really enjoy this coloring book. The spaces are somewhat large - not very detailed. I would definitely recommend this coloring book, especially if you are looking for the same things I am looking for in a coloring book.

Poor paper
Designs are just okay but paper is rough and not pleasant to color on with pencils

Creative Haven Dimensions Coloring Book
Distinctive geometric designs this book of gorgeous design makes it easy to become completely absorbed and forget daily stress. Designs are printed on just one side and the pages are perforated so they may be removed for easier access while coloring. The paper is medium weight so expect some bleed-through. If leaving the pages in place while coloring, place a protective piece of oak tag/poster board-type material between the designs to avoid any chance of transferring pigment to the next design.Wonderful book.

THE PAPER ACCEPTED COLOR MARKERS AND THE PAGES ARE PERFORATED FOR EASY REMOVAL
I ENJOYED THE "DIMENSIONS" COLOURING BOOK. IT WAS VARIED ENOUGH SO AS NOT TO BE REPETITIVE NOR BORING. IT TOOK THE COLOURED MARKERS WELL AND WITH THE PAGES PERFORATED, THEY WERE EASY TO REMOVE IN ORDER TO COLOUR.
