Solid. At first I was upset. I thought they had left out the bolts holding the base and tops to the posts. In reality, they were stored screwed in to the poles. All parts were there. Stand feels solid and has a good height. Many don't go high enough for ear height when sitting down.

Did exactly what I wanted them to do - propped up our rear speakers in the Man Cave!

I found these to be good stands as they are fairly stable. These are the 2nd pair I have purchased and I use them for my surround sound speakers. Very easy to assemble and well constructed. The design includes a safety cross pin for added security. I found the triangular base to be useful as its's footprint can fit in odd spaces. The base comes with rubber pads which can be replace with adjustable pins for carpets. I noticed they have been making these stands for a number of years which indicates a good design.

Could be heavier at base for stability, but works well enough. I like adjustment ability.

Packaging had holes in the box. This was a repackaged, listed in "like new" condition and the stands were not protected from the loose components within. All components were badly scratched. Bolts were missing and I assume just rolled out of the holes in the box. Also missing "carpet spikes". Rather than dealing with a return or exchange I went to the hardware store and spent $5.00 on some new bolts. I try to buy returned "like new" or "very good" products as they are usually at a discount and help keep trash out of the landfills, but this time the trash is in my basement holding my speakers. My listing was from the manufacturer as the seller "PYLE"... Woud not recommend this company.
