Great Book on an Important Topic!
I received a copy of this book to give it an honest review. I truly enjoyed it and feel it is an excellent addition to this great series! I think that all kids go through a period of testing out lying and this book does a great job explaining that lies not only hurt the people you are lying to but also hurt you by making you feel bad inside. Another home run by Mary Nhin! I also think the use of the long wooden nose on Dishonest Ninja is a great literary reference to Pinocchio that could lead kids that aren’t familiar with that tale to want to read it and as a result explore further the consequences of lies vs truth telling.

Does it Pay to Be Honest?
Sometimes it seems easier to just lie. One may avoid getting into trouble by lying, one may impress one's friends by exaggerating or making stuff up, one may even come to own things that are not theirs. But is it worth it? Mary Nhin's newest volume in her NInja Life Hacks, "Dishonest Ninja: A children's Book About Lying and Telling the Truth" tackles the subject of honesty in a wonderfully relatable fashion. A perfect book for kids to read with their parents that entertains and also presents the opportunity to discuss the importance and the benefit of being honest and truthful.Another winner for Ms. Nhin and her young readers :)

This whole series rocks!!
I can’t say enough goodness about these books. They all tie into each other with every individual Ninja throughout each book. The values it teaches is on point with respect and honor. It really helps my 2 year old understand emotions and feelings. She has learned how to tell me how she’s feeling from these books. It’s amazing. The colors are bold and bright. The text is easy to read and they flow well.

Nice book
Helps teach a good lesson about lying to my 4 year old nephew who has recently started to be dishonest at times. I wish there was a bit more story behind it though to draw him in a bit more rather than talking more abstractly about lying.

OPENING UP
I have read a few of the books in the Ninja series and particularly enjoyed this one.Dishonest Ninja finds it easier to lie for several reasons but always feels badly afterward. It causes anxiety, worry, fear, and distress. An incident at school and its aftermath cause him to realize telling the truth makes him feel free.I recommend this book for elementary and middle-grade readers. Teachers, parents, and social workers can use this book as a resource to explain why telling even a "little white lie" can have devastating results.

Dishonest Ninja
Everyone tells a little white lie now and again. Sometimes it’s so you don’t hurt someones feelings and other times it’s to make yourself look good because you want people to like you. I think it’s important for kids to know telling the truth makes you feel better instead of lying. Lying makes you feel bad and one lie turns into two. As they say the truth will set you free. I can’t wait for my grandson to read this book. ❤️

The benefits of telling the truth
Finally, a children’s book that directly talks about the value of honesty and telling the truth, vs lying! I love the short and entertaining story, and fun illustrations that help kids of all ages see that it’s okay to make mistakes, but that choosing to tell the truth, benefits themselves and everyone!

Helpful way to encourage kids to always tell the truth
I love how this latest book in the ninja series turns around the concept of lying and dishonesty to make kids realise that it has negative effects on the person who is lying. A fun story that youngsters will easily be able to relate to, which will hopefully set them on the path of telling the truth throughout their lifetimes.
