The big end that you clamp is 4in. The small end is probably 2in. Across opening, maybe 3 in. to outside edge

The filter has universal adapter rings. But check the actual size of your carb intake

Q: 2005 Mustang v6..I have the big box square filter, so the universal jyst clamps on to exising hose?

I just removed the box in my car and the stock hoses and clamped the pipe straight to my intake manifold and my PVC line fit right into the port on the pipe super easy but you, can just remove your box and install on your intake tube

These are great for saving space in the engine compartment. They do a very good job filtering, very easy to clean but be prepared to change them every 6 months or so as they do tend to fall apart from the heat

Didn’t work for me. Nice filter. Just way to small. I have a k&n cold air intake system on my car and this filter was like 3 sizes to small my filter is huge. This filter is prob ok for a smaller intake 4cyl car
