Old school type shaving, but just be careful because the blades are very sharp.

I actually received my item a day before expected!! Which is always nice & appreciated! 👏😊 🤗 The only issue that I have, is that you literally only get to use those blades twice maybe even 3 times if I'm lucky!! I can't believe how cheap & flimsy these blades are and the fact that they don't last long!! Which is a problem! Especially for someone who is disabled like me! It really makes it even harder too get things done! Now I'm going to have to go do some research to see if I can even use a different blade that will actually work and last for more than 3 or 4 uses. It's probably one that will only use that blade from only that company! Which we already discovered the blades suck! I pray getting replacement blades doesn't turn out to be a challenge because then I'll have to return the item! When all I really want is for the item to work properly!! I'm Keeping my fingers crossed!!🤞😔 I really hope I won't have to go back out to get this situation taken care of because like I've said, I'm disabled and have 4 different Auto Immune disorders to deal with and I really can't afford too go out and take the chance of getting sick with the virus or viruses that are spreading like wild fires out there wreaking havoc on everyone and all around the world! If I can find the proper blades then the item would be worth the purchase & will be happy! Unfortunately right now I'm worried that I won't be able to find the replacement blades and I will have to return the item and look for another item that will work like it's supposed too!!

Having used many open blades, those are the positives I see. Most shavette and every straight edge I have used, had a straight tang or shank. Turns out I do not care for any bend in my shank/ tang (but do like a smiling edge on some straights). It seems to work against your line indexing. Even a tad on angle indexing. Maybe if it is your first, or you have only used this style with a lot of drop (blade spines edge line, to the handle pin height) and the super narrow grip area, with the finger bump jutting out next to it. I can shave with it, i can get a decent shave. While I may rarely cut myself with an open blade, this one takes too much effort for me. I dont see the point of the counter balance being way out at the far end of tne handle, rather than just a heavier handle. It definitely adds to the taking more care that the shank style creates. Maybe the mfg has no clue what they are making and simply copy the shape and design with what is on hand in an existing factory (counterweight seemed to be ceramic or glass spacer, and oddly ground for some reason). Quite the lever in some positions. I have much heavier, but they give me no issue since all the weight is not at the handle end and i can feel what the razors are doing better. It may be cheap, but i have much cheaper 1k times better. I took snips and cut the handle off near the hinge and filed them to washers that dont overhang the tang width. Better. Compact. Still not great but the clasp holds. Ive superglued a half blade to a popcicle stick before. I have a better chance of doing it again than I do buying this again.
