I had to fix it myself, here is how it works.
I had already purchased this product locally, and when the motor ran, but no bubbles were being produced, I went online to find some information. Didn't find any info for it other than these reviews. First, I think I may have the model just before this one, as mine looks exactly like the one pictured, except mine says Bubble Fountain instead of Infinite Bubbles.. My bubble maker is like the one pictured here (they come in different colors, mine is the smaller one pictured with blue dots instead of the yellow ones), it takes only 4 AA batteries, installed on the back side of the machine. I could be wrong, and this could be a newer model that takes 6 batteries, but mine looks like the one in the picture. My 2 year old was disappointed that no bubbles were coming out, so while they played with the included bubbles and extra wand, I took it apart to fix.Even if they did change the model slightly, I suspect the insides will be very much the same. Be careful taking it apart, as the batteries wires are short and pulled off as the solder joint was very weak. I suspect that is why many will not turn on, because the wire may have come off. You can resolder it, use a paper clip, an extra length of wire twisted to the old one, or like I did and just used a cheap pair of alligator clips I had. Do not remove the 4 screw at the very top, but rather 2 screws on each side of the machine, on the bottom of each handle. Careful when taking the gear compartment apart, as there is a spring that is needed, and the gears are all plastic (take pictures or look good to remember gear placement). There are 3 plastic tubes, one going up to the bubble blower, one going down into the bubble solution compartment, and a tube in the middle that connects them. The machine works by using a gear to alternately squeeze and release this middle tube to get the suction. I suspect my model was shipped with the tube in the squeezed position, because the tube had become stuck together. I had to remove the middle tube, slide something into it to unstick it, and then reinstall it.That was it, it just wasn't getting any suction, and once I unstuck the tube, it worked fine. Took an hour or so to take it all apart, figure out what was wrong and reinstall it. Might take half an hour or so if I knew what was wrong right off. So yes, seems like a pain, but I had time, and a 2 year old to make happy, so I was up for the task!Ok, once working, it blew many bubbles. At first they were only coming from one of the holes, so I added some water to the bubble solution and they all started up. It seems to work better with a thinner solution, too thick and it can't pump it out I guess. My two year old had a ton of fun running through all the bubbles. It has 4 bubble holes on top and blows a lot of little bubbles, never saw any huge bubbles, so again, I could have an older model. I have no idea how long the little motor will last, and we only played with it about an hour the first time, so time will tell.So if you get one, and lose the receipt or get stuck with out being able to return it, I hope this helps someone if they need to open it up and fix it.

Quit working after a day, not that great when it did work
Ours, like most others, quit working after the first day. On ours at least it appears that the bubble liquid gets into the electronics. The liquid is pumped up the same side as the batteries are on and when I went to swap out batteries (thinking that was the issue) they were coated in bubble solution and one had begun to rust already. Kids used it for two half hour sessions the first day and the next morning when they tried to use it again, it was already dead. When it did work, it was not that great. The bubble solution cannot sustain the larger size bubbles this machine is meant to produce. Smaller ones created with the wand did OK, but the ones the machine produced using it popped either as they were being created or with-in a half second or so. They wanted to chase them across the yard but end up just standing over the top of the thing trying to pop them before they popped themselves. The kids have used some smaller bubble generators that worked great and filled the yard with bubbles but this one was disapointing even when it did run.Bubble generators are a great kids toys toy when done right. This one fails on several fronts and I cannot recommend.

How to solve problems with PlayCo Bubblers
My daughter purchased two different PlayCo bubblers. Both have the same two problems:1. Corrosion on the battery contacts. Not directly Playco's problem, rather, owner's problem. This is due to a moist environment whether cleaned according to instructions or not, and leaving the batteries in the machines too long. Batteries should be removed after use and wiped off, and the machine allowed to dry. Not sure what family will be able to do this religiously, so PlayCo's design re:corrosion is poor.2. Playco's problem: the internal wires are seriously fine, and thus are extremely vulnerable to corrosion and poor soldering. On one machine, Playco made the attempt, however failed to succeed, to coat the wire/connection solder joint with a coating. On the other machine, no attempt was made to protect the joint with a coating. In both cases, the fine-ness of the wires coupled with corrosion and poor soldering is what made them both fail. I suppose: what can you expect for cheap bubblers?Summary: Cleverly designed machines that work, sometimes, for a while, but do need attention to avoid corrosion. When new machines fail shortly after early uses, it will likely be due to poor manufacturing of the solder joints. A handy person with the ability to disassemble and reassemble, who can also solder can fix their machine, which I've done with my daughter's. I make no comments on, or express any warranty about the longevity of the fixes. :)

Disappointed
This item has a great idea and makes awesome huge bubbles with bubbles inside but the first time we used it, it worked fine for about 10 minutes. After that the wands stopped moving and the fun was over. My poor 2 year old said, "oh no, bubbles broken Mommy?" I would not recommend this item to anyone. We returned it and bought a different type that works much better, was half the price and came with the 6 needed batteries. The new one makes small bubbles but a lot of them and at least it worked all day! The ones here on Amazon (the one being reviewed and the new one we bought) is also priced WAY higher than my local store, try to buy local.
