Like it, but disappointed it is not as tall as I thought; my towels end up resting on the counter some.

I liked this towel holder very much. Simple, light, beautiful, functional. I don’t understand though why people try to put towels not intended for it and complain that they are too long or too short LOLIf you put fingertip towel there, you will see that it’s exactly for that type of towels.Another funny thing is that Light grey/Charcoal color is not what’s pictured. I bought three of those on amazon and they came from different places but they all were tagged the same wrong Stone/Charcoal color instead. Good thing that I loved it better than what’s pictured. It’s exactly the colors my sink is made from. Perfect! I would describe it Light grey/Dark grey. And both solid colors, not transparent grey tray pictured on amazon. It might be from the old batch I guess but I would ask amazon to update the info and pics about this particular color.Very happy with this purchase! Thank you!

For those who wrote that this is too small for a hand-towel -- YES, it's too small for a hand-towel. Given that it's a fingertip towel holder, that shouldn't be a huge surprise. Fingertip towels are bigger than a washcloth, but smaller than a hand-towel. This rack is a perfect size for a fingertip towel. ;-)>> Yes, the base is plastic, and the one I got is NOT see-through like others received. I put decorative rocks in the base, so they hide the plastic quite well and it's not an issue for me. I tried to tip it over before I put the rocks in it and it seemed pretty stable even without them.>> In terms of the stand, it's pale gray powder-coated metal, which is like an enamel coating. I hoped it would be more the color of stainless steel or brushed nickel, but it's a very-pale gray. Not quite white, but when I first saw it I thought it was white. Once the towels are on it, they hide most of the rack above the base.>> Overall, this will suit my purpose. It fits where I need it and does what I need it to do. :))

Am very pleased with this purchase. Wanted this for the easy to clean base. Have had others with metal bases that end up rusted, but with the plastic base, it doesn't leave any rust stains on my sink.

Having read so many other reviews that said this towel holder was too small, I was expecting something really tiny. It's true that you'd need to use fingertip towels instead of hand towels if that's what you bought it for. But I had a different purpose. I don't like putting wet items in the clothes hamper and wanted something where I could spread my wet washcloth to dry after washing my face. In the past, I just spread the washcloth over the side of the sink to dry, but I've recently purchased some black washcloths for makeup removal and worried about the dye transferring to my granite. Now I just spread my washcloth over the top of this towel stand and it gets plenty of air circulation. And I can put my makeup sponge in the tray to dry before storing it away in my makeup bag. It is a good quality stand. Nice brushed nickel. The tray at the bottom is plastic not glass. But that’s fine. I’m buying another one for the master bathroom but I will be using smaller towels to show more of the stand. ( pic is with hand towels, a tad bit longer than I would like it).

For $16 I wasn't expecting much, but like others have said, this is not the most sturdy item, so I expect that you'll want to put like a heavy bar of soap or maybe some decorative rocks on the base as it is only plastic and not glass. Either that or you'll just have to balance your towels on it, and probably never take one off to use it, as it is already top heavy. My biggest issue was that the long screw that connects the base to the top was already stripped and/or too short. Right about the point you would expect it to tighten up, it slips, and the whole thing becomes wobbly and loose. I was considering sending it back for a refund, but the hassle was not worth it. Instead, I grabbed some Gorilla Epoxy, and glued that sucker up. 5 Stars for Gorilla Epoxy, by the way. Used it to glue a broken paving stone once because I didn't want to buy and cut another one to length.

Update 9/1/2020:I'm sorry, I had to deduct a star. The bases on these are too light. When I go to lift the handtowel, the whole towel holder comes up with it, and then it is a hassle to get it in the correct spot because it it is still partially hanging on to the towel and the base swings around. Very frustrating.Original review:I ordered four of these for my bathrooms. I liked the look in the picture, and they do look good in person. However, I had imagined that they would be heavier than they are. The base is a very light plastic, and while they have so far remained standing with a single hand towel on one side, the stand moves around a lot when I grab the towel. But the price I paid ($16 each), I expected something with a heavier base. (A Big Retailer sells something similar with a METAL base for $14, but this looked nicer in the picture, so I went this route.) If the price were more commensurate with the feel of the item, I would have rated it higher.

Great stand for kitchen for your wash cloths and rags. The plastic dish is great for excess dripping. No rust yet.

I have it at the sink, works great for my dish cloth and pot scrubber
