Definitely not the construction I was expecting for $50. The telescoping hook will not and I repeat WILL NOT hold a snake of the size they show in the pictures. The hook is very flimsy and I dont know how long the tongs will last before they break. Thinking about sending them back to Amazon and spending the extra money for better quality. They picture the hook straight as an arrow picking up a snake that weighs probably 5 to 7lbs without bending and the hook isn't as long as it looks in the pic. It's about 24" long which is way to short for a handler to pick up any kind of snake, there's definitely room to get bit. (3) 5.5oz cans of catfood makes it look like it's going to break.
