Whiplash: Whiplash Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Vinyl LP

I really enjoyed listening to this album. If you enjoy listening to music on a really good system (really good turntable), this is really fun to listen to. I recommend the extended 2 LP version rather than the 1LP version of the soundtrack. There is a lot more music and there are some remixes that are interesting to listen to. I highly recommend.

There is literally 7 songs total on the first CD that's awesome! The second CD is something "other" than what's the spirit of the movie...weird club mix type music. Not my thing. HOWEVER! the first CD is amazing.

I enjoy the album; some dialogue is mixed in so it is not pure music, but I found the excerpts worked well and created a coherent listening experience. Some of the tracks are relatively amusical tension-building score, but there's plenty enough entertaining genuine jazz. This isn't the sort of album that will do much as isolated tracks; you really need to buy and listen to the whole thing.I do agree that it is strange and unfortunate that musical credits seem to have been omitted. Jazz isn't a dead art form, but it's certainly a small niche and the people who actually played the music deserve recognition as well as the people who made the film.

Neimans last solo performance that closes out the film isn't on this (???) And i know if you love this movie and order this vinyl youll want that on there but it isnt which was a bit of a disappointment but its still a nice vinyl for the price.

Great soundtrack, but I'm not to impressed with the record label. My first LP had a nasty scuff across one track, the LP was well protected in shipping and I am certain the damage happened in the pressing plant. I called the record label and they weren't surprised to hear about the damage and said to return it to Amazon and get another. The second one had some oily residue on it, but after cleaning it sounds great.

The media could not be loaded.  This is my favorite movie and soundtrack and I was not disappointed in any way! 5 stars!!!

Got this as a gift for my grandson; it was on his Christmas wish list. He loves the LP.

I like it, it's very useful to read the chronicle of how was this soundtrack thought because it makes a lot of sense: it's not only a score, its a musical blend that feels different than the movie, yet the same.It's difficult to make a soundtrack about a musical movie without being repetitive, so the maker succeeds in mixing not only the big band jazz of the movie with parliaments en electronic adaptations.

Great album, but the condition of the vinyl was horrendous, first of all the spindle hole was too small and would not fit, then the entire LP was covered in a some kind of sheen, it needed a complete clean and open up the hole, all other albums I got today were perfect.

If you liked the music from the movie, this'll do you fine.

This vinyl sounds truly amazing. You won't be dissapointed by the audio quality. The only complain I would have is that the vinyl was a bit dirty (felt like covered with some sort of fur). But it was possible to remove it and that's perhaps common for new records.

Liked the inclusion of a key piece of dialogue from the film as well as all the drumming and jazz tracks.

You by this beautifully pressed album for one track.........but what a track "Caravan".Shame that a die-cut polylined inner sleeve was not included
