I wrote another review about the Mortice latch That broke after 30 years on our sliding glass door. It's a wooden and glass door. The mortice latch Was an inexpensive and easy fix. The handles were also 30 years old and the outdoor one was pretty weathered. It's too bad I could not of gone with another metal because the brass versions were pretty pricey. But competitive with Home Depot and Lowe's. They were virtually identical to the ones I replaced and, unless you've got a lock, this is an incredibly easy job. We use a deadbolt style lock for the slider, but you can buy A key mechanism which will require some drilling out on the handles. They look great and I hope Hold up as well as the other ones
