Great!!!!
It worked like magic! Easy to apply (don’t apply a thick layer - smear it a little), can be applied even onto a wall and will stay put (no running), ants get addicted to it then they spread it back into their colony. We had colonies in 5! different spots outside the house, applied it on the paths to those 5 spots and now they’re gone. Highly recommend it, definitely going to buy again!

This product Works like the Pied Piper of the Ant World!
Oh my gosh! It’s the early beginnings of spring in the Midwest, where winter battles with spring weather, yet the life clock of ants knows it's time to wake up. Every year, I deal with the same problem, ANTS. I have hired people; I have treated the suspect areas where I see them enter my home all summer long, in hopes of finally stopping the colonies. Yet, every spring they’re BACK! I repeat the same rituals of buying everything on the shelf, hoping this will be the year that I eradicate the ants at my patio door. I started seeing a couple of stray ants this week, so I ordered "Combat Indoor and Outdoor Ant Killing Gel, 27 Gram" from Amazon along with a handful of other products. I placed a regular ant trap where I know they will start coming in, not expecting to see them for another couple of weeks. On top of the regular ant trap, I squeezed a dollop of Combat on top of the trap. Within half an hour, the top of the trap was covered with small ants. The Combat, I have to say, works amazingly well. There is no odor. The stuff is like a soft glue, but the ants do not stick to it, so they can feed, return to the colony, and share the product with the queen(s). It is almost clear, and by putting it in the trap, it drew ants to the bait as well, but more importantly, I can pick it up in a few days and discard it without a mess to clean up. I will buy this product again for sure!

IT WORKS
This product is probably one of the best as far as attracting ants. It's a gel that stays in place. You will see Hundreds of ants for a few days so I suggest putting it where you don't care if ants are crawling consistently for a day or two. Then you won't see them. My personal favorite when it comes to eliminating ants in the house.

Works When Fresh, But Kills Too Fast When Old
I’ve used Combat Max Ant Killing Gel before and had it knock out sugar ants within hours—bait goes down, a dozen or so ants swarm it, and that’s the end of the problem. This time, I started with an old tube that had been sitting for a few years. A bunch of ants did take it, but many died right next to the bait. The colony relocated larvae and dragged this out into a multi-day headache. I tossed the old gel and opened a new one. It worked better—ants took it again, and activity slowed down fast. But even after six days, I’m still seeing a couple stragglers wandering around. I’ve got both sweet and protein baits down, and I’m prepping to follow up with Delta Dust and seal off their entry points. Fresh gel definitely works better than old stuff, but this isn't always a one-and-done product. Be ready to follow through if the colony doesn’t fold immediately.

Really works
This product was a miracle treatment for a crazy explosion of carpenter ants. The ants literally waited in line for their turn to eat. 2weeks later, no live ants and lots of dead ones. Reasonably priced Highly recomend

The "new" formula doesn't attract ants
Update: If your ants aren't interested in this bait, here's what to do. - Mix in sugar with a toothpick on the counter. About 50% sugar to 50% bait seems to be the right mix. - If ants still aren't interested, mix in more sugar and sprinkle a little sugar on top - If it dries out add a drop of water as ants seem to be completely disinterested in it when it dries Worked well after adding sugar but my original 1 star review stands as the product, as it comes out of the syringe, was useless. Read original review below. I purchased this on amazon after reading the hundreds glowing reviews. After using this product for a week I thought I must've been taking crazy pills. The ants just aren't attracted to it at all. Bait that doesn't make ants swarm is useless. This morning I found a swarm on a few drops of soda left out over night. I thought, here's the perfect chance to make sure they take the bait! I placed several drops near the crack where they were coming from and across their path. They smelled it, walked around it and continued on to the soda. I was surprised but thought if I just remove the other food source they'd switch to the bait. I cleaned up the soda and a few ants switched over to the bait, fewer than 10 of the 50 or so tiny sugar ants that were there originally there started to eat the bait. The others returned home to their colony. 10 minutes later and only a couple of ants wander the counter looking for food, not interested in the bait at all. Another 1 star reviewer made everything crystal clear. Combat doesn't sell the "Ant Killing Gel" product sold on this page anymore. They've discontinued their product named "Ant Killing Gel" and replaced it with "Source Kill Max A2". It's still a gel for killing ants but it's a different product name and, apparently, a different, less effective formula. Amazon still markets the "Ant Killing Gel" but pictures and ships out "Max A2" instead. That explains the fantastic reviews and terrible reviews for the "same" product. Other reviewers have contacted Combat, as I'm going to do, and have been told they now sell Source Kill Max A2 instead of Ant Killing Gel but they also have a better product available at a higher cost. Others have been offered a coupon for the better stuff, hopefully I'll be offered the same option. My hunch, the more expensive "better gel" is the original product that everyone loved so much, just at a new price point. Apparently, the old restaurant marketing holds true in ant bait as well "How do you sell thirty cents of pasta and fifty cents of sauce for $17.99? By selling thirty cents of pasta, fifty cents of sauce and ninety-nine cents of chicken breast for $21.99 next to it."

Tinkering in my garden the other day tidying a huge bed that accommodates my 12 foot tall beautiful banana trees and was horrified to discover an absolutely colossal black ants nest! This thing was like 4 meters long and a meter and a half wide. They were also branching out and creating little pilot nests on some of my treasured Bonsai plant pots!! I couldn't see all the entrances so I topped up the entire area with compost 8 inches deep to force them to tunnel out and reveal themselves. Within 30 minutes I literally saw thousands upon thousands of ants pouring out of various sections in the bed, maybe 9 locations in total. And that showed me where to put the gel. And even a splurge right up on the trunk of one banana tree close to where a new bunch of bananas was beginning to flower that the ants were all over. They absolutely devoured the stuff covering it so densely all you could see was a black writhing masses. Within about an hour they had consumed TWO entire tubes of this gel and I assume carried a ton of it home deep into the nest to feed their chief Empress egg layer. I started the whole process around 7:00 p.m. in the evening, and by the time I went out 6:00 a.m the next morning there was not a single ant in sight. Two tubes had wiped out this entire huge colony in one evening. The stuff is pretty expensive but if you're serious about getting rid of ants in your garden this will obliterate them.

I buy most of my products buy the product description and the review's. The product descriptions does not discriminate between what ants it will kill and what ant it won't. The review's mention Pharaoh ants several times that's is why I purchased it. On opening the packaging in small print it says excludes Pharaoh ants. Totally useless to me now and I bought two packets.

I bought this last year and I don’t usually do reviews. I am now as I’ve just tried another gel which had good reviews but didn’t work well so I searched for this one again and glad to have found it so I am doing my review from last year. I put the gel down and ants ate it and then after a couple days no more ants. Simple and effective. The other one I just used didn’t kill ants at the nest and instead ants died slowly out on their duties so I have had to clean up hundreds of tiny dead ants in all manner of places. The other gel also only worked the first day and then ants started avoiding it. I just assumed all were the same but no. This one is tried and tested so I’ve just ordered it again. We get ants every year around this time. Apparently there’s a nest outside our utility room in the garden (so the guy I paid £100 to sort them said a couple years ago). Now we do it ourselves for around £15 and we’ll now choose this gel every year without fail as it is tried and tested and it works. Sorry to the seller for not reviewing earlier!

The Combat Ant Killing Gel is the "Trojan Horse" of pest control. Instead of the instant satisfaction of a spray that only kills the ants you can see, this gel uses a slow-acting poison called Fipronil. The foragers find the sweet, high-moisture gel, mistake it for a feast, and carry it back to the heart of the colony to feed the larvae and the queen. It’s a patient man’s game; you’ll see ants swarming the bait for a few days, but that's exactly what you want—it’s the "last supper" that wipes out the entire nest from the inside. The syringe applicator is a masterstroke for precision, letting you inject the gel directly into those tiny cracks in the skirting boards or behind the kitchen sink where ants actually live. Because it’s a gel rather than a spray, you aren’t coating your kitchen in a fine mist of chemicals.
