AccuQuilt GO! Baby Fabric Cutting Dies; Calico Cat

The perfect applique shape for the cat lover. Using this with my  AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter with Value Die Set  I get perfectly cut kitties everytime to use on my quilts and other craft prjects. Just once I tried to cut a similar shape by hand using a printed template. Not only was it less than perfect, it took me nearly 10 minutes to do. Using this die it would be easy to get 20 or more perfectly cut kitties i less time using the Accuquil.Someone once told me that by getting the shapes perfectly cut each time they have no character or individuality. Not true!!! Add buttons or hand cut ovals for eyes, use a little pink button for the nose, use permanent fabric ink to draw in the eyes, whiskers, etc., and you can have a lot more character than an irregularly cut shape offers. I also purchased the  AccuQuilt GO! Baby Fabric Cutting Dies; Gingham Dog  so I can have both shapes for animal projects of all kinds. You are limited only by your imagination.Both the Calico Cat and Gingham Dog shapes fit great within a finished 6" square. If you're using 5" charm squares be sure you use a scant 1/4" seam and position them perfectly or they may overlap the seam and eventually come loose if you use fusible backing.I also would like to pass along a tip for the Accuquilt dies. After using a die for a couple of times, use a fine point Sharpie or other permanent ink marker and trace the shape on the die. If you are trying to create minimal waste or doing fussy cuts, it makes it much easier to accurately position the fabric.Happy Quilting!

Make a quick quilt for a cat lover. Cut, iron on cats, back to back and the quilt top is finished. Excellent cutting with clear edges, so fast and so accurate!

They’re fantastic

Love this on baby quilts or even bibs. It is easy to make coordinating gifts for new parents. I use this with my AccuQuilt Go cutter which is delightful. Well worth the cost on both. Vendor was super fast!

It was smaller than I thought it would be. The cut is clean and should be fairly easy to sew down with only 3 sharp points.I think it might be something you could put on most quilts as a cover up of a mess up spot. Even over a hole. put a bigger square on the back and this on the top and sew it down with a heavy stitch, the trim the square on the back.

This gets 5 stars because I like the cat design. I think AccuQuilt dies are a bit expensive, and this die is surprising small. I guess that comes with the territory. Fortunately, Amazon's prices make it possible to purchase the dies I want.

A must have for the Quilter. Looks good on a quilt, purse, school bag, sweater or shirt. Can also be cut from many different fabrics.Can be used for thousands of different projects. You will love this little kitty and so will all cat lovers.

What can I say....it was a great price! I needed it for my Go! Baby cutter and it works perrrrrrfectly!!
