Mate of the Fae King (Dark Faerie Court Book 2) Kindle Edition

Awful. I liked the 1st book ok (even though some plot holes and character development needed work) but this book is unreadable. This book needs to be proofread and fixed. In chapter 5 the door to the kitchen swung open revealing the description of the kitchen. Then 5 short paragraphs later (literally the same page) the door swings open again to reveal the exact same description of the kitchen. The description was copied and pasted. How does an editor not catch that? Also the characters become really flat in at the start of the 2nd book (this book). New characters show up but there are no thoughts / feelings behind them... they are cardboard cut-out characters, mere props. Where did they come from? Why do the other characters accept/trust them so easily? The older / original characters dont seem to have many thoughts about their sudden arrival at all. ALSO the size of everything described is in relation to the main character's cottage... this room is two cottages.... this room is four cottages. Enough with the cottages!! I think this author can do better and this story deserves better.

Thanks to the author on writing these series of books. I have learned so much about fairies and their myths, kingdom types, etc. I am looking forward to the continued adventures of the dark king and his queen.

This was a good book. But I don’t know about others that have read this book but I am angered about Drayce always getting hurt at every turn!!!! Come on already!!!!!

I’m not sure why, but I didn’t love this one as much as the previous one. I’ll still be reading book three when it releases though.

Loved this series. None stop craziness. This is one fae joyride you’ll want to read. From the moment you begin you are hooked.

This book is just as good as the first one. I can't wait to read the third. If you like a book about brave heroines this is for you.

Too much and almost nothing happens at all. Pacing was weird. Its book 2 and I haven’t bought into any of the characters - I just don’t care. Overall it’s a no from me dog.

I really enjoyed Book 2. Neara was not a weak leader. She dished out punishment to those who deserved it and showed kindness, if needed. I loved that she was a strong heroin. Drayce is a powerful king, but has to be rescued a little too much by his mate. I hope in the next book he is able to demonstrate his strength throughout the duration of the book. Long live Drayce and Neara!
