Inexpensive, awesome look, and a nice amount of slip for an all-purpose slipmat.They are made of a dense, soft felt with pigment embedded right into the weave rather than painted on or anything of the sort, but still have a really cool looking, high detail finish, and would complement a spacey, high-tech theme as well as a more new-age spiritual theme just fine.I would not recommend these mats for anyone looking for a hardcore audiophile solution (too dense) or anyone looking for a really hardcore high-precision turntablism/scratch setup (they're alright for basic scratching, but don't grip quite as aggressively as one would normally prefer for that application). They are great for everyday use and perfect for slip-cueing and mixing.I use them primarily for mixing and light-duty sample recording on a set of Vestax PDX-2000 MK1 turntables and am very pleased.
