Totally works! Way more practical and better value than other expensive brand
The media could not be loaded. This is one of those things you have to see to understand, but it is legit and it works for half the price of the other more expensive brand. The other blue brand has an easy hand screw to tighten the bully stick into the device. However, if you dog twists the bully stick you’ll find that nice little screw piece laying on the floor next to the heavy blue securement device watching the money you spent go up in flames. This device is the perfect weight and even the small fits thicker bully sticks if you put enough elbow grease into it. You get the bully stick in by twisting it into the center. When you twist the bully stick into the center, it lodges between the little teeth and won’t budge as long as you’ve plunged it in there decently. I was sure this wouldn’t work because it was half the price and not nearly as fancy as the other brand. Oh well, at least I have found a way to keep my dog safe from choking on the dreaded bully nub. Also, just in case you’re confused on what size to buy…my 60 lb adult Aussie and my 25 lb golden retriever puppy both use the small size of this and it works fine for both. I frequently buy the thick/jumbo bully sticks and have no issue getting them secured into this. This (at least in the small size) will not work for yak chews or braided bully sticks. I am curious to see how the rubber teeth hold up over time as I would imagine the twisting in and out wears them down over time. Also not 100% sure how getting the nub out will go as I haven’t crossed that bridge yet. I’ll update if I have any issues.

Best thing ever!
The media could not be loaded. We recently got a new puppy who loves to chew on everything (the table, my shoes, our other dogs, etc.). Once we discovered bully sticks, we thought we were home free, but then I started reading about all these horror stories where dogs swallow the last few inches of the bully stick. Sure enough, a few days later, I see one of my other dogs coughing while frantically making chewing motions. I ran over and luckily managed to fish out the last bit of bully just before it went down his throat. If this could happen to my older dog with 13 years of chewing experience, I knew it was just a matter of time before the puppy did the same thing.I started researching safety holders and we actually bought another brand initially (which was twice as expensive). It looked like a corncob pipe and was really heavy. The dogs could no longer carry the bully sticks around in their mouths and they just kind of lost interest in them. Plus, the other safety device had plastic spikes to hold the stick in place which literally broke off after the first use. I just knew there had to be something else out there, so I kept searching and then found BullyGrips. These are the greatest invention ever! First of all, they look cool, like roller skate or skateboard wheels, and come in fun colors. But the best part is that they are sturdy and grip the stick like nobody's business when used according to the directions. (You have to twist the stick, people. Pay attention to the directions!) There are no parts that break off, and the shape is fun for the dogs. Plus, they're light enough that the dogs can carry them around in their mouth. If you give your dog any kind of chew stick, I cannot recommend these enough. We have three BullyGrips at the moment (one small and two medium) but we have 4 dogs, so we'll probably get one more. These are half the price of the competition and work so much better. We'll never use anything else again.

Good but won’t fit Costco bully sticks
Works great for smaller width bully sticks, but doesn’t really work for the Costco bulk bully sticks (not the bully hide ones). Those are a bit too large to fit into the opening unfortunately.

Dog won't choke on small part.
Excellent product. If you push it through about an inch on the other side, your dog won't choke on the small nubby left over.

It actually works!!
Wow! I was skeptical but this really works well. So far I tried with Jack & Pup 6” bully sticks which are on the thin side. I’m so excited to find this. One of my pups purposely swallows his bully stick once it reached about 2 inches. This will help ensure he doesn’t do that. I purchased one to test out, and now back to purchase another one, as my dogs like to trade bully sticks Mid chew for whatever reason. The stick was easy to insert, so I was surprised it has such a firm grip once inserted. It comes with instructions on how to remove and insert bully sticks. I purchased the small pink one. I have two small 10lb dogs. I am purchasing the Pup & Jack extra thick 6” bully sticks next and will give another update. So far I am very pleased with this bully stick holder. It’s a heavy rubber like material. Which is provides a good traction/gripping for my dogs paws (thinking paws would slip on hard plastic). Very solid, so hope it will last a long time. Easy to clean as well.Update: these bully grips are awesome. I purchased Jack and Pup extra thick bully sticks and with a little bit of muscle, they fit with a very tight grip. Given the inconsistency of bully sticks these days, I’m thinking about purchasing the bully grip in different sizes. Some of the bully sticks were pretty thin and able to slip out of the bully grip (with some effort by my pup), but I don’t see that as a flaw in design of bully grip; as the bully stick (if you can even call it that) was pencil thin. Anyway, I can’t rave enough about this product. I jammed an extra thick bully stick in the bully grip and thought for sure I had ruined it. I needed pliers to get the bully stick out. To my surprise the grips on the bully stick kept their shape! Very impressed. Bully sticks bring my dogs so much joy, and these bully grips bring me peace of mind.
