GEN 3 Stages Power LR | ULTEGRA R8000 CRANKSET with BI-LATERAL (Dual) Power Meter

I love my power meter. Had no problems connecting to my Garmin 520.

Works well. And complements the cool look of the ultegra crank set.

Great product. If you already have a hollowtech crank and BB this is as easy as it gets. Integrates well with Garmin Edge devices.

Both arms are using the latest firmware, V1.2 and the latest version of the Stages Power Android app. The left sides drops out constantly just watching the app with the phone right next to the crankset. When I connect to both arms and select "Tools" in the Stages Power app to link the arms, the app crashes. I tried a new battery with the same results. I pulled the battery on the R8000 left arm and turned on my Gen 3 105 left arm. Everything appears to work at that point; I can link the R8000 right crank arm and left 105 arm successfully and verify communications.It appears I have a faulty left arm out of the box, which is a huge buzzkill after dropping this kind of cash. I want to request a replacement but after starting off with a $1,000 dud, I am worried it will end up failing again in short order. Hopefully Stages can get this squared away without too much fuss, otherwise I will have to look elsewhere.Update (20180621): Talked to customer service today. Guy on the phone didn't want to discuss the troubleshooting that had already been done. They told me to send in screenshots and pictures of the battery compartment so they could check the condition of this brand new part and see the serial number. According to the ticket, they'll get back to me within 24-48 hours about the part I purchased from them one week ago. Not thrilled.

Easy to install on my 2018 Trek Madone 9.5. It took me about half an hour. Garmin 820 picked it up right away and I have had no problems or drop outs with this product. Several months of use (60 hours) and original batteries are still good. You can use whatever pedal style you like. Yes I would recommend it.
