Top notch flock food, the best!
Best chicken/duck food I have bought for my little flock! Both the chickens and ducks love this brand. It looks so healthy and natural compared to a lot of brands. It’s a local brand so it feels like I’m truly supporting my neighbors. When I have little spills of it, my dogs seem to enjoy it as well. Bags are thick paper product, seems like no plastic or less plastic is used by this brand which is great! It also smells lovely, very earthy and fragrant with herds. Totally worth it!

Beautiful quality feed
I have a mixed flock and my girls go nuts for this feed. Yes, it’s more expensive than your basic layer pellets and I do use both to cut costs. But there is absolutely no waste, they eat every bit. I’m planning to increase the ratio now that we have almost used the whole bag and I’ve see how healthy and happy the girls are on it. It looks like food not processed cardboard pellets. You can see all the different seeds and grains. You know what your birds are really eating. I have bought a lot of different types of feed and this is by far my favorite!

Chickens don't like it
While I loved the look and content of this mix, apparently the chickens had other ideas. They do NOT like the yellow peas because that precise ingredient has accumulated all around the base of the feeder. They are actually avoiding it, eating around it or even picking it up and dropping it so to get past it to other ingredients. Crazy, as I've never seen them do that before. So while I thought the food looked and smelled wonderful (there are sunflowers in it too, which I call "chicken crack"), they are actively avoiding those yellow peas and that's a big part of this mix. I'm unfortunately going to have to go back to my old stand-by brand and mix in the extra ingredients I feel they need. 😏

Worth the Price
Pricey but worth it. I’m very health conscious and prefer my chickens to be strictly consuming pasture….but it’s winter…I blend this with mealworms and my 6-month-old hens really began to shine and started laying for the first time at subzero temperatures. The shells are much harder than neighboring conventionally-fed hens and the yolks are incredibly vibrant yellow/orange. I would also note it’s not a dusty or overly fine feed, so it’s not being wasted as other organic grain-free feeds I’ve tried.

Chicken feed
My chickens love this feed plus it has crushed oyster shells in it. Which help with egg laying hens

Nutritional health
My chickens love it!! I ferment this feed, it swells with water so it makes it stretch a little. I care about what my girls eat, they are consistent, happy layers!

Chickens hate it!!!
My buff orpingtons, rhode island reds and barred rock won't eat this. Most of it gets picked out and left on the ground
