Electrified CPX260LAMP Electrified CPX260LAMP / DT-00751 Replacement Lamp with Housing for Hitachi Projectors

I work for a school district and I ordered several of these for my projectors. In one case the bulb only lasted from Dec 19th 2013 until Jan 14th, 2014... I put dates on the bulbs so I can verify if the product I'm using is lasting awhile. Although the price is a lot lower than and OEM bulb I'm not sure if it's worth the price at the moment. Other's I have installed seem to be working still. Maybe it was a lemon bulb?

This bulb was installed in a projector that is used for approx. two hours per week and it died in less than six months. The real OEM bulb that was in the same projector prior to this one lasted several years under the same conditions. These may be very cheap but they are actually a really bad deal if you do the math.
