Quality is good
I haven't found anything negative about this. The burner works great and is very convenient. The coffee pot stand is "chincy" but sturdy when fastenings are tightened. I mean that it comprises two thin aluminum rings the long pedestal screws and three small rests for a pot. I am using this for making Turkish coffee. It is not the best stand for this application because the pot rests are spaced to far apart to create a stable base for a small ibrik. It works for me, though I know this is not what it is designed for. I bought this for the burner anyhow, not for the stand. The refueling base is not necessary and I don't use it. All in all, it's a good butane burner at a reasonable price.

Good portable unit - be careful with the stand
The burner itself is quite superior for the price. It blows great heat, is controllable and reliable. On its own it is pretty solid. The STAND is not designed well. The plastic will melt at full power. If you have another idea for a stand, this will work fine. In my case, I chopped a piece of 2" steel tubing, painted it black with grill paint and now I have an industrial grade unit. I'm quite happy with it. Just be aware that the stand was not designed for full power. It may work fine if you don't crank it up. But where is the fun in that? Even if you just want tea, now is better than later.

Solid, easy to use design. Great for Siphon pots
Really heavy, nicely finished burner. The polished finish matches my Hario and Yama siphon tea/coffee pots. It has a nice nonslip rubber bottom that stayed put even on slick granite counters. The handles and knob are black plastic. The black flame protector is also plastic and comes up above the flame, so definitely safe for keeping fingers out. It fit perfectly underneath my 20 oz Yama siphon pot (that’s the larger of the sizes offered). No need to crank gas up to highest setting. Seemed to get the most efficient flame for gas ration a little past halfway.I made sure to use camping stove butane, NOT lighter fluid butane. This makes a big difference! You can find the camping style butane in the Camping/outdoors goods section of Walmart. Costs about $9 for a can the size of a hairspray. Save yourself a lot of headaches and don’t use the wrong butane.Flip it upside down to fill. Don’t rest it on the igniter! Once full it will overflow slightly at the base. The burner was very consistent. It didn’t flame out. Took about 3 or 4 minutes to bring very cold water to a boil. On it’s very first use, it did take three tries with the igniter to light, after the gas had a chance to start flowing. After that the lighter worked more consistently on the first try.I also bought the Ivation burner. Here’s the comparison. The Bottom of base is nearly identical to Mr. Torch. However with the protective flame cover Mr. Torch is a snug fit under the pot. The Ivation does not have a removable safety flame cover. Personally I doubt I’ll use the cover, but if this was outdoors or windy the cover would probably protect the flame. Mr. Torch is entirely possible to easily operate one handed. The Ivation model has a safety button you push in before it lets you ignite it or start the gas. Can be done one handed. But it’s a bit more fiddle. However it gives you peace of mind that the gas is fully off. Whereas Mr Torch just rotates to off with no lock position to signify its fully closed or preventing it from being bumped into an on position. If you have arthritis or weakness in hands, Mr Torch is probably the better choice. Functionally they were both about the same for heating. Mr Torch has a full pattern burn design. Whereas the Ivation has more of a stove style circular burn ring. I have not used them long enough to see if one burns more gas than the other.

It Lasted 3 Months of Daily Use, then Died
Well, this is the second (make that third) butane burner I've gone through just after a few months of daily use.I've been using these to make my Japanese siphon coffee. And they work great ... until they stop working altogether. They're the perfect height for what I need them to do, which is boil the glass globe full of water for my coffee. I'll pre-boil the water in the electric kettle, so all-in-all, I use the butane burner for roughly 3 minutes at a time. But unfortunately, after 5 (the latest lasted 3) months of daily use, this burner gave out. It just stopped feeding butane to the burner, even completely filled.Either this wasn't designed for daily usage over a long period or I'm using it incorrectly. I'm willing to concede that point. (No... strike that. I take good care of everything I own. This is just a pile of garbage product.) But I would really like to find a burner that will last longer than the two separate brands I've had. The previous one failed after 8 months.... Parenthetical updates provided above. I purchased a second one of this particular brand of burner. It lasted all of 3 months and just petered out. It no longer feeds fuel (completely full, by the way) to the burner. They work really well, and then they just stop working.

Great little gadget works magic like a Gennie in a bottle. Love it!
it can be used in a cross platforms manner from heating water to make a syphon coffee maker work to keeping food warm are cooking food. My only complaint is that only one of the four tiny bolts for assembling the stand were missing. I someone in the front office can see to it that I get three more tiny bolts for my stand I will be 100% satisfied.

Less than a year and it broke down completely. First the spark igniter stoped working and after that the gas walve stoped funcioning. For the price it is not worth it
