Great fitting pants.
I am a 32x31.5 and I purchased an EU48 long that translates to a US 32x32. The fit is nearly perfect. I purchased these for doing trail maintenance and backpacking in Fall, Winter, & spring. I think they will be to hot for summer, but I'll find out during trail maintenance weekends. I'm a sawyer, & brushcutter with some sidehill digging, so I need durable pants that can shed light rain occasionally. I have been using a pair of 100% nylon pants for the past 4 years and they are about wore out. I specifically needed cargo pockets and those types of pants that are light, durable, and water resistant are getting hard to find. The built in gaiters is a strap sewed into the cuff that you pull out and snap to the various snaps to tighten to desired fitment around your boots. I have a hard time finding pants that fit me well, and upon first trying them on, they seem to fit great. I have larger than usual legs from the thousands of miles I have backpacked over the past 6 years, that most pants that fit the waist properly are too tight in the legs or too loose. These seem to be just right.Edit:After wearing on their first trail maintenance weekend building steps and carrying muddy logs for water bars, they performed great. I could bend and move around without binding. They got wet and the water beaded up nicely. The temp was 90 and they were pretty comfortable for a synthetic blend. I wore them for the 6 hour round trip travel and was quite comfortable driving.

Tough, rigid and durable.
Tough, rigid and durable. These replaced carhartt pants that were too "rednecky". They utilize an interesting mix of cotton and poly (they call it G-1000), they are surprisingly durable and quick drying. The main drawback is the lack of stretch, you obviously trade stretch for increased durability. sizing is not US standard, they are cut narrower and have taller rise. I assume they used scandinavian proportions.I did try the waxing method for waterproofing, but i now just spray them with DWR restore sprar like this Gear Aid ReviveX Durable Waterproofing Spray For Outerwear, 10 Ounce and it works just as good.As these come with a sleeve for knee pads, I have also used them extensively while doing various maintenance wok around the house. They still look like new.

Durable and well-made, used heavily 3 years so far
Bought these now 3 years ago for camping and fishing trips and after a few hundred uses have been very happy with them The durability and fit have been great. Also the convenience of the pockets. Pics are them after about 100 and then 200 camping or fishing trips. The material at the knees did eventually wear out on mine, though I'm happy with how long they held up. All the kneeling while canoe fishing, making fires, etc has put them through a lot. I used the knee pad slots (w/ the "military issue" foam inserts on amazon for $5) and they fit well and are comfortable, still easy to walk in.**Pros** (for me)-Reinforced knees and seat-Knee pad slots-Durable fabric doesn't stretch much over time-Stitches also very durable, not one has come undone-Pockets are a good number and size-Especially like the one left sided pocket that is extra deep, to really secure things like keys or a phone-Plenty of strong belt loops, 8 on my size 32 waist-Snap fasteners are stud style not riveted socket types, all still fasten equally well-Reinforced seat-No butt pocket **Cons** (for me)-Knee material eventually wore out on mine-Extra separate narrow side pocket I don't find useful-Zipper could be heavier duty or buttons, but has not failed-Ankle strap w/ multiple buttons and boot hooks not particularly useful to me-Seams are only double stitched, though again mine have not failed-Not ideal if you need them water resistant or proof, though I didn't try the wax coating methodReasons some people might not want them: for hot weather or long distance hikes since they're a little heavier and not vented. If you don't need to carry a lot in pockets or stand up to a lot of abrasion from brush, sitting, kneeling, etc. Also, eventually sunlight will fade the black color versions to dark purplish, except at the reinforced areas. If you are climbing around the pockets might not be secure enough.Overall I'm very happy with them. The knees are all that wore out and I will probably just repair them myself. Other outdoors pants I've used have worn out at the ankles, seat, and over the front pockets by this point, but there's none of those issues with these. What I like most is the buttons and pockets I use constantly, and the stitching without any breaks anywhere. It is also impressive that if you do cut holes in the fabric (like i've done cutting out fish hooks), it does not fray or unravel much with continued uses and washes. They should last 3+ more years for me, but I'll probably get another pair or two just to have.

Good Product. Not the Best Value.
These pants seem to be well-made. The slimmer fit is refreshing. I'm grateful that they come in a "long" version (I wear a size 30 x 34). The waist sizes are a bit of "vanity sizing" (my actual waste size is closer to 32"). But that seems to be common in US sizes. The retro waxed fabric panels are a cute and practical touch. The pockets are large and well-placed. At $150 per pair they're probably a little over-priced for non-technical outdoorwear (compare them to a $50 pair of Carhartt's). But that will be for the marketplace to decide.

Snug crouch. Long option are 34" inseam. The 50 waist fit nicely for a 34.
These pants are awesome.. just a tad bit snug in the crouch and ultimately too long. I hated returning these pants.. but at $137.00 I need a perfect fit. I ordered the "longs" because of the research I did. My concern was if left unbuttoned in a relaxed setting they would be under my heels and wear out over time. With boots on and buttoned they fit pretty nice and allowed for room to extend legs. I like to be barefoot at certain camp sights so I'm going to possibly order the "regulars"

Awesome pants but expensive
Love these pants! Summary: Durable, lots of useful pockets, look good, unique, excellent construction and detail. No back pockets, snaps and hooks at the ankles keep crap out of the boots. I bought some foam knee pads and love them.Construction and work companies have come out with tough and multifunction pants for $50-70 but they aren’t made for outdoorsman use. Check out Carhartt or Dickies and the have extra pockets and knee pad insert areas.Fjall are worth it if you want to spend the $$!

Excellent trousers - size up, they run small
Excellent trousers. Reasonably lightweight yet not thin. Really robust material and breathable with waterproof bottom and knee panelling. Material is also slightly stretchy which makes for a lot more comfort over competitors who trade ruggedness for lack of stretch.Pockets positioned perfectly around any phage and harnesses I wear and very cleverly shifted forward around the thigh. A little touch which makes SUCH a big difference for ease of accessibility. There are plenty of pockets of varying sizes without any being too large that they’re cumbersome. Length is perfect - regular comes with extra length to come well over your boot and lace hooks are brass so won’t rust. Further, there is still diffident length to accommodate squatting without any pull.I am personally not a fan of waterproof trousers, I haven’t needed them and just get too hot in them. These trousers are Greenland Wax compatible so it’s nice to have the option of making them waterproof if needed, at the sacrifice of breathability. Rub it on, wash it off in a normal 40 degree wash. But in my experience thus far, they are sufficiently breathable to quickly dry off and don’t hold much water making them comfortable for very wet walks.Sizing runs small - I went for a 52 (36”) when I’m usually a 50 (34”)

Great hiking pants
Great hiking pants, very well made, pricey but quality item, you get what you pay for. The option having them is also great, I am 6.1 with long legs, usually hiking pants are too short, those are just perfect. Highly recommended
